I'd suggest you go use OpenOffice then. Using an essentially 10yr old version of an inherently collaborative software will be a nightmare.

What about security patches? What about updates to document standards? What about technological advancements such as IPv6, 10bit colors, high res displays? What about bugfixes?
Software is complex and office suites are complex by software standards.
No, it stops you from burning a religious symbol in public. Secularity means that state and church are separate, which is a different matter. A lack of secularity would mean you can go on trial for not following the word of some god e.g. for loving someone from the same sex.
These are terrible and should be fought.
Bu this particular law is stopping assholes from being assholes.
Book-burnings also had a severely terrible history in the 3rd reich and are nothing but demonstrations of power, hate and close-mindedness.

This is simply false. In Germany, the swastika may be used in the context of education, art and some other places.
You are simply not allowed to march up and down the street with a swastika flag, which seems very reasonable.

Ich komme zufällig bei exakt 27% raus für meine Hälfte der Miete aber die Staffelmiete schläft auch nicht. Dafür ist der Anteil jetzt schon bei meiner Freundin einkommensbedingt ein Stück mehr.
Das Fiese ist dass Altmieter extrem wenig zahlen und deshalb den Schnitt verfälschen. Für das Geld kriegst du aktuell nichts mehr. Das ist natürlich anekdotisch aber ich habe letztens mit einer Physiotherapeutin in Berlin gesprochen die auch Hausbesuche macht. Die fährt ihrer Aussage nach häufig zu alten Leuten in großen Wohnungen mit mehreren leerstehenden Zimmern.
Die sind häufig verwitwet und alleine, würden sich sogar gern verkleinern, aber eine kleine Wohnung mit neuem Mietvertrag kostet mehr als die alte mit den 2 leerstehenden Zimmern. Die Leute mit derartig günstigen Mietverträgen werden zwar weniger aber davon gibt es noch einige.
Ich kenne persönlich Fälle von 1500€ warm für 55m² bzw. 1150€ warm für 35m². Beide sind keine deutschen Staatsbürger und sprechen kaum Deutsch (ist klar erschwerdend bei der Wohnungssuche) aber vermute den Deutschen geht es ohne viel Glück, Vitamin B oder krasses Durchhaltevermögen meist nicht besser. Die würden sich auf jeden Fall beide riesig über 10€/m² oder auch nur 15€/m² freuen.
Ich verstehe Microsoft nicht.
Die bieten im Programmierspace einfach guten und (aktuell) fair bepreisten / kostenlosen Kram an (z.B. VS Code, Github).
In dem Artikel hier wirkt es so als ob ehrlich auf ein Recht zur Reparatur gesetzt wird. Glaube kaum dass sich das für die lohnt, außer dass es eine nette Schlagzeile gibt.
Gleichzeitig wird Windows immer mehr ein übler Haufen aus Adware und Dark Patterns, genauso wie Edge.
Kommt mir alles sehr schizophren vor und kann mir nicht erklären warum Microsoft als Konzern so extrem uneinheitlich agiert.
I doubt it, unfortunately.
Like many other online services they've saturated the market so the only way to increase profits is to extract more money from individual users.
They are also a quasi-monopoly for a reason - hosting and streaming video is resource-intensive, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a free alternative that would scale. AFAIK, piped and such are only frontends to youtube which will be killed off by ToS or through technical means.
Maybe there are free video sites that also host their videos, but as I said, since it quickly becomes very expensive, I don't see anyone being able to do that for free for long.
Unfortunately, if anyone is going to "disrupt" youtube, it is going to come from a silicon valley startup and like youtube they will only burn investor capital for a limited time - until they have saturated the market (or failed). Then they'll have to monetize as well.
My only hope is something like a torrent approach where everyone who streams also hosts. But since that is technically difficult to perfect, needs a huge user base to succeed while not promising any commercial gain for the initiating party, nobody will throw a ton of money at the problem, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
My prediction is that people will either pay for premium or see ads in the mid- to long-term.
