Really, 15 years is 'long' now?

Its long when you have to live it, yes.

Plenty of people still in prison have gotten longer sentences than that for drug possession.

Those are also long sentences.

Either this was a serious insurrection where participants should be charged with treason and punished accordingly (executions or life), or it was a farcical attempt at one and they're not being punished harshly, but you don't get it both ways you clowns

It actually doesn't need to be either-or. The fact that so many people were arrested and prosecuted is wildly unusual when you consider the historical response to right-wing protests and riots in the past. Certainly, this is a far higher percentage of people facing jail time than after the Brooks Brothers' Riots used to shut down the 2000 Bush/Gore recount. Its harsher punishment than anyone at Project Veritas suffered for breaking into a Senator's home office. Hell, 15 years is far more than any of the Watergate burglars ultimately served

Even Liddy and Hunt weren't in jail for more than 5 years, each.

So this is a "long" time for a politically motivated crime, both in terms of years assigned and cumulative time assigned to the volume of people prosecuted. Normally, none of these assholes would have seen the inside of a court room much less a federal prison.

this is a useful lie that reinforces horseshoe theory bullshit

99.9% of the Independent's readership has never once heard of TrueAnon, has no idea who Brace Belden is, and is utterly clueless regarding his politics or the politics of the podcast. Calling this a "right wing podcast" while linking it to a funny board game can only be good publicity.

Brace Belden is a genius and his plan is going to work.

Gotta say, flipping through this thing is mind-boggling. The real banality of evil showing its ass all over the place.

It's amazing how the chud brain will almost always fall back to semantics when these kinds of topics come up, and yet still completely fail to understand how language works.

The understand precisely how language works, which is why they resort to these exhausting semantic arguments.

You can’t just use terms like “Pro-Bigot” and expect people to tribally buy into what they are without explaining what they MEAN.

Also, I find the term “sperm donor” offensive.

Just endlessly arguing around the edge of a point in hopes of exhausting the opposition and "winning" the argument.

I like how their final argument is that Star Trek was always about preserving the past

Kill Your Heroes, folks. Only the good die young.

I've also noticed that any talk against it is quickly threatened and or "moderated" by the admins here. For a group that claims to be so open they sure don't appreciate any viewpoints contrary to their own, and the admins are quite efficient at using their "power" to censor it.

Like so many other politicians, Bernie will eventually change his opinion if he gets too many angry phone calls and street heckles from folks he pays attention to.

God damn, that looks lame.

Is anyone not guilty of plagarism? Because it feels like the go-to for nixing someone in high office you don't like.

North Korea has been openly supporting the Palestinian cause for decades

How much real material support is a small, semi-industrialized nation under heavy international sanction and a full panopticon of surveillance able to deliver to an open-air prison half a world away?

Also it's not that hard to smuggle something to Egypt from NK

By what means? Is Kim sending supplies via FedEx? Are there big Maersk cargo ships loaded up with North Korean made small arms and explosives that Mossad just hasn't noticed? Are they coming up through the earth in one of those drill machines that The Shredder uses in TMNT?

A state actor like NK can definitely do that.

A state actor like the folks in NK can definitely get supplies into neighboring Russia and China without much trouble. And it is not inconceivable to believe smugglers shipping arms through the extensive rail networks of these two countries can put NK made weapons into Turkey or Iran. But that's a long journey and one replete with hazards. Not the least of which are people who will just take valuable military equipment for their own purposes.

Far more likely, NK is simply a large exporter of military equipment that they've been mass producing since the Cold War. If NK-made weapons are getting to Palestine, that is only because they're in wide circulation and of universal enough design to make them popular with people who need simple durable equipment, like any number of guerrilla insurgent groups and poorer paramilitary units across the Middle East and North Africa.

The idea that Kim is direct delivering equipment all the way from NK to Palestine is romantic, but utterly impractical from a logistics perspective.

This looks like that zero-budget horror movie "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" that started running ads a few weeks after Pooh went public.

The entire advertising model is spectacle. There's nothing under the hood.

Simple human trafficking. But not the kind you'll ever find the western media complaining about.
