Going to India to find migrant laborers

Finds a bunch of migrant laborers

Brings them back to Israel

They start praying towards Mecca

Oh fuck! India actually has a large low-caste migrant worker Muslim population!!!

Zelensky wasn't a Based Chad. We need a proper Ukrainian strongman to come in and replace him. Someone willing to root out all the fifth columnist traitors and protect the future of white children and chop down the tall trees, etc, etc.

200k jobs revised downwards in MARCH 2023

That was the over-year total, which is to say March 2022 to March 2023. We didn't create 3.8M jobs in March alone.

Please don't discredit my conservative news sources.

I know this is trolling but it upsets me nonetheless.

Yeah, the headline seems to belie the much less scandalous story that initial surveys aren't as reliable as more time-consuming-but-accurate hiring estimates.

Also, the "1M less jobs" number is absolute bullshit. BLS has the revision at around 200,000

The over-the-year change in total nonfarm employment for March 2023 was revised from +4,048,000 to +3,836,000

which is still an enormous uptick in new jobs annually and in no way indicative of a weak economy on its face.

Blah blah neoliberal economics bad, blah blah quality of live metrics not included, blah blah glorious people's revolution blah blah things will be different. That said, this site's claims are trash and nobody should be taking anything the Daily Caller prints seriously.

Like, they're not wrong. But they're still assholes.

In fairness, the Rita evacuation was an absolute shitshow and Harvey had a much lower casualty rate than mass-evacuations in other years.

Sitting tight through a storm isn't the worst idea, particularly if you're in a sturdy facility with backup power like a school or stadium. Trying to pile out of town with another 4M people, particularly in this town, is nightmarish. And getting caught on a road in the middle of a flood/storm is even worse. Nevermind how this just kinda creates a blister in hotel prices and a rash of living-in-car homelessness for the duration and then another giant mess as people pile back into town.

One might argue that this would encourage my city administrators to invest more aggressively in domestic shelters and other life-saving facilities. But we all know that's not going to happen. In the meantime, I would not consider evacuation a given as a solution to an incoming storm.

The king could easily afford standard advanced healthcare if he so chose.

I guarantee you that he's going to be paying out the nose for some guy to shove kumquat juice up his butt.

Him being a quack doesn’t change that.

Hacking away at the domestic health care system and denuding the nation of educated, qualified physicians with the capacity to consistently deliver life-saving care means that Dr. Oz tier motherfuckers are going to fill in the gap you left behind.

Yes, it would be much nicer to live in a nation full of expert professional physicians who spend all day doing top tier medical treatments. And yes, he can afford to do that. But HE DIDN'T. He lives in a palace full of quacks that's in a city full of quacks that's in a country full of quacks. All because quacks are cheaper.

Say what you will about the Cuban medical system, but it is a product of the overall economy. It is a consequence of cumulative generational investment in top tier talent and the education to match. That Shit Cost Money. The benefits might be spread equitably, but the costs are still there - in hours of training and accumulation of materials and investment in blue sky research. Cuban health care isn't free, it is GDP. UK health care isn't, and that's why King Charles is fucked.

Batman was just a rip off of The Sum of All Fears which was a rip off of The Rock which is just a rip off of Black Sunday

Okay, but consider...

On the one hand, you have an enormous incentive to always and forever create content. And putting a live drone feed over the AFC championship creates that.

On the other, people are genuinely terrified of the outside fleeting possibility of Another 9/11, and the Sum of All Fears is if a terrorism happened at a Sportsball Game.

I'm convinced we're going to Lathe this into existence at some point. But for now, it's just a comedy of errors on all fronts.
