It rings of the old Karl Rove "attack them in their strengths" strategy. When you can saturate media with these kinds of statements, its depressingly effective. Hard to argue when there is this deafening chorus line echoing the sentiment.

British politics employs similar tactics. Doesn't matter if what folks are saying is dumb as dishwater. So long as that's the only thing anyone ever hears, its the only thing they believe.

Can't recommend Samurai 7 enough. One of my personal anime favorites. Technically more of a Space Shogun than Space Cowboy, but it hits many of the same notes.

And not an anime, but The Expanse is an excellent Space Western.

The first four or five episodes of the original are a bit weak, but it picks up substantially after Wolfwood shows up.

If you have a tolerance for juvenile and problematic anime, Desert Punk is that same Mad Max modern Western vibe.

A bio-weapon specifically engineered to target middle aged suburbanites with big trucks, because they are the bedrock against which Chinese Communism has yet to penetrate.

But also only wimpy loser liberals who were going to die soon anyway are susceptible.

But also, plus, too, it's actually the masks that are killing everyone and wouldn't you know it those are made in China too!

I've been a strong proponent of abolishing Germany for a long time, but never stronger than after reading this.

The problem isn't AI getting in so much as journalism getting out. NYT doesn't want people going to ChatGPT to read their headline news.

Now instead of restaurants and grocers delivering food, you get to pay extra for someone else to do it. Then those workers lose their job and go work for Uber, who will pay them less.

Is Uber exempt from the wage laws? I assumed PizzaHut would simply be outsourcing the cost to Uber, creating a surcharge for their food that doesn't appear on their advertised price. They get to tell their investors that they cut costs without actually changing their business model.

Capitalist efficiency is putting as many businesses in between you and what you want/need as possible.

More businesses means more growth! More growth means more investment! More investment means more profits! No, I won't explain how or why. This is Econ 101, dummy. Do your own homework.
