I like their passion with Hi-Res, but 10cad/mo is more than I could afford. I’m using stingray music. This Quebec company provides free music radio with advertisements.

My friend is using https://www.beanfield.com/en/tor

He enjoyed their service, but the coverage of beanfield is very limited

Thank you! Seems that I should plan my trip to NB in advance due to the high season. I'm planning to fly to Quebec city, to rent a car and return my car at Halifax.

I'm a Toronto resident planning my first trip to NB/NS. I tried to lookup for car rental services in early August, but the rental companies are either sold out, or providing rocket-high price (200+ cad pre tax)

I'm curious that, if this is common in previous years? Any suggests if I'd have a road trip in Atlantic provinces?

Thank you!

My local Costco is providing Romaine lettuce from Quebec since May. I’m happy for it and I’d like to eat more lettuce - it benefits my health too lol

I had been using Dawn dishwash spray. Is there Canadian choices, or at least non-US brands?

Thanks

This is a dup post, I’ll copy my reply to here:

I'm glad to find that Crypt of the NecroDancer is Vancouver-based! It's time for me to buy DLCs for it. Besides, I'd like to buy their new product in 2025, Rift of the NecroDancer

Crypt of the NecroDancer is also on a promotion on GOG: https://www.gog.com/en/game/crypt_of_the_necrodancer Rift of the NecroDancer (2025) is not on GOG yet: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/rift-of-the-necrodancer-2025

I like GOG for its DRM-free policy, and I’d support GOG for their effort to keep old games running.

We’d avoid perfectionism here. Buying a Canadian video game is great. Buying it on GOG is even better

Personally I think playing with controller is quite smooth and relaxing. If you already have PS+, I think it worth spending a dozen of hours to have a try.

I’m sorry that I don’t understand it.

By default, all windows/mac/linux laptops will ask users to set up a password for log-in. This is not sufficient, but much better than password-less unlock

I have a steam deck an I love it, but I don't think using it as a laptop is a good idea. Unlocking a steam deck doesn't need a password (by default), just like Switch, GameBoy or PS Portable. If steam deck is lost, sensitive personal data can be accessed easily. Besides, I'd expect a higher risk of losing a steam deck, as I'd been playing it on various places like metro or train stations.

If you never take your steam deck out of your home, then it sounds sensible to use SD as a laptop

Free upgrade is always great. Sadly, Tears of Kingdom is not on this list

I had been using Clorox's Liquid-Plumr Pro Strength Hair Clog Remover for years.

I had stockpiled it during CT's promotion last year, and it's used up now. Is there any Canadian replacement?

Thank you

Edit: Thank you for all your suggestions. I think I'd change my habit. I'm going to install a drain hair catcher to my bathroom sink, instead of using chemical hair remover twice a year

Canadians using Twitter/X are being bombarded by misleading right-wing posts designed to boost Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and tarnish the reputation of Mark Carney.

The FT’s analysis finds a growing volume of that misinformation is coming not from Russia or China, but the United States.

There might be some changes that could improve it further:

  • ~~Remove Brave~~
  • ~~Maybe add Signal; It's easier than Element, but it's also centralized~~
  • Stop suggesting Linux Mint specifically
  • Recommend Hosted Nextcloud
  • ~~Add GrapheneOS~~
  • Maybe add Delta chat
  • ~~Maybe remove Bluesky~~
  • ~~Remove Stremio and add Jellfyin (even though it's selfhosted and not a direct equivalent)~~
  • ~~Add ente because Immich is selfhosted~~
  • ~~Add aurora~~
  • ~~Add SearxNG~~
  • Add SimpleX
  • Add lichess
  • Add pCloud

Any other suggestions?

I have been a Pringles lover for more than a decade, and it's time for me to find an alternative one. I like the saddle-shape and I don't know which brand provides it.

r/BuyFromEU suggests some local brands, but that's not my case:

Any suggestions? Thank you

I'm an Ontario resident, and I had been planing a trip to Alaska. For obvious reason, I'm re-routing to BC for glacier.

I have several doubts about this trip:

  1. As a first-time traveller for glacier, which park/route do you suggest?
  2. I'm not a fan of hiking. Can I stay on the driveway?
  3. I'm planning a 5-day trip. Is it too short?

Thank you!
