I think this is a limitation of Lemmy. There is no one single Lemmy. Each instance talks to a set of other instances and has their own block list. Things you can find on one instance might not available on another one

Basically the notification view. The known Lemmy bug is that notifications aren't cleared until you go back into the notification page (inbox)

Might be a Lemmy bug. There's a known issue of notification counts not updating, but if you go back to the inbox again they then update. Is that the behaviour you're seeing?
