Well, it wouldn't "start at -1" in my example. I was either suggesting making the UI block self-voting and start at 0, or have auto-self-voting just like now, but with it starting at -1. Both would result in a default of 0. I hope I made it clearer.

Not sure about Lemmy, but Mastodon has a "Bot" checkbox that clearly marks the acc as a bot. I'd assume not using that would warrant a ban. Lemmy could copy this if it hasn't already.
