That can't be right.

That is a false statement. At least if you follow definitions for the two words. If we don't stick to definitions; discussion becomes meaningless, since we will be talking of different things but using the same words.
If we don't have the baseline of trusting our senses, which should include perception of our own thoughts; how can we make that statement? Why should one trust perception of thought over other senses?
Who is to say that the words in your head is even your own? Maybe you are just along for the ride.
yea, 20 years seem very lenient.
I read about your home partition troubles. I ran in to that recently as well. Similarly I thought I would quickly try stable diffusion. Ended up not being as quick as I had hoped. I had to boot gparted and resize root and home. I had done that before at some point; but I keep forgetting how to do things. I was unsure if it is safe to do that without the latest version of gparted, so to be safe I redownloaded it and updated my system as well. Of course I have some old Nvidia hardware that tend to make my upgrades painful, so that took not so little time too.
I'm not really sure why having a separate home partition is even beneficial to begin with. Next time I make an install, I might just go without that.
It might just be the totalitarian dictatorship part that makes them leave. Probably they don't care what flavour of socialism or economic model their oppressor say they subscribe to that matters.
You vote for representatives that make laws on your behalf. Everyone has to follow those laws. If you are a president and also a traitor, you will run afoul of those laws. If the law says you may not run for president if you break it, then that is what it is. Democracies can have laws and still be democracies.
Steal children from the countries you invade. They are doing that.
Now they are with the seals.
Yes. But uneducated dads says no.
It's shot in to space!
