The anvil is just a cosmetic effect (a twitch drop). I think it appears when you kill a rare or unique monster and has nothing to do with the blacksmith acendency.

Awesome game, full of bugs and exploits. I loved it.
If you are looking for a remake, Satellite Reign is a pretty good choice.
Let's hope this new freedom survives the next government.
Follow up question: Isn't "you who miss it" wrong? Instead of "you who misses it".
If you are French, the same command works to remove your freedom pack.
