Not necessarily standard, but not likely an emergency. Loads of places have the setup required for parallel landings / takeoffs, it's just usually more efficient to have them alternating

Here's a list of the places that have parallel runways (bottom of the page)

The script is ~55k characters long, depending on the source. This transcript, 55k, includes who is saying the line, as well as descriptive elements of the story, so the actual 'words only' version will be a bit shorter. This one is 99k and includes even more description of the visual elements. From what I've seen, though, most of transcripts have these non verbal inclusions, so the person who added it to the special instructions likely copied those over as well.

I can't speak to the other points, but allowing 55k characters is definitely wild.

I struggle with a lot of sounds, having a sensory processing disorder, the list of which is far too long to write out here. So I totally understand the frustration and how rage inducing it is, you are definitely not alone. Especially when people don't understand it's not a patience issue, it's a 'my brain isn't wired the same way as yours and it genuinely cannot be fixed' issue.

Other people have mentioned therapy, which is definitely a good idea. They can help you find ways to channel the energy into something else, or help you find the root cause (if it's a children-specific thing, and not just a general sensory issue), or teach you good cognitive behavioral therapy practices.

In the interim, since finding a good therapist for you can take a lot of time, I would definitely recommend some form of earplugs. Mine have saved me and my sanity so so so many times. If I can recommend a particular pair, I would suggest the Loop Switch, since they let you adjust the sound reduction levels on the fly - but any brand / even the foam tip ones (as long as they fit you properly!) can help immeasurably. For me, just knowing I have earplugs with me helps dealing with these sounds, even if I don't wind up using them, just knowing the option is there. Some form of stress ball or those grip / forearm strengtheners might also be of use for you? It can be a good distraction, as well as allowing yourself to let off some of the steam in a relatively healthy and inconspicuous manner.

And kudos for knowing this is a problem for you, and looking for help on how to improve it. I hope you're able to make progress you want, one way or another. Good luck, OP - we're rooting for you

Mines on 195.0 (iOS, idk if android has a different version build) and I’m still on the older ui. Wonder where the threshold is.

I'm just happy I actually get to have a three day weekend for once. Every other time this year, I've had to work on either the Saturday or Sunday, meanwhile everyone else around me was enjoying their extra day off. Oh the joys of being a public servant.

I did this exact thing the other week. Luckily sleepy me remembered to use a discount code though!

Ahhh okay, those are just called turning tools. In this photo they’re located in the keysmart style tool that has covert instruments’ logo on it. The bit on the riv pick that sorta looks like a turning tool is just the plate that allows it to be stored securely in the same keysmart set

Great read! Easy for everyone to understand, but also thorough. I loved the breakdown into the calculators functionality

Slim Pickings from Covert Instruments, but the Riv pick and regular picks are available separately. Unsure what you mean by the sturdy part lol

This is why everyone should disable auto updates

Granted, apps can lock you out if you don't have a certain version, but by and large, you should be able to choose to update when there's this drastic of a change

Not the only land animal, but it's true they can't jump: 100% super reliable source.

Mainly linking that site because this line kills me:

The tortoise cannot jump because it lacks agility and speed.
