This has made the games news rounds, and the one thing I wish is that it had been done in the DOOM engine, or one of the sourceport engines like gzdoom.

Most of the features should be possible with basic engine features, and it all would definitely be possible with gzdoom's expanded feature set.

It seems pretty straightforward, if oddly worded and morally/ethically ignorant/bankrupt.

Investors care about return on investment, and he's reassuring them that the studio is not going to take any risks that may impact that. It's not in his best interests to be more specific than that.

He was also asked a very leading question about the studio's opinion on DEI, which (unfortunately and ridiculously) is a contreversial topic right now. He's telling the money faucets what they want to hear, while confirming for anyone who cares to listen that they are a profits first studio.

"We don't care about anything besides making a product that pleases our customers and makes you a lot of money. Next question please, before I have to say anything that could jeapordize our cash flow!"

I'm not familiar with that tool, but I know there were a handful of old tools from the Wii and Wii U era that used to download files direct from the Nintendo servers. Those tools won't work anymore as those servers/old system eShops were shut down years ago.

Archive is always my first stop for any games not from recent gens.

Yes, and? AI is not a person, and is not even remotely comparable to a person.

I can spout off unrelated and not relevant things as well! Hippo sweat is red and looks somewhat like blood!

It's going to be fun watching the market swings from that amount, and who just so happens to profit from those swings.

Guess I'm more out of date on my wifi security knowledge than I thought. Sheesh. Got some reading to do.

Yeah, I get that the devs probably don't want to rehash the same level editor mechanics ad-naseum so instead they made the far more complex/in-depth Dreams, but I think there's still value in simpler creation tools. I'm sad they moved away from LBP.

Simpler tools lower the bar for entry and can make creating things easier. For LBP it also enforced a cohesive art style, and unless the creator was insane it enforced a specific set of game mechanics.

With Dreams you have no idea what you're in for, and there's countless people taking time poorly reinventing the wheel for basic gameplay functionality. You can't just go and use a highly polished "platformer mechanics" pack created and tested by a professional team like you got with LBP or more recently (and far more restricted) with Mario Maker. Every "starter kit" is going to have differing levels of amatuer jank.

It's a great "intro to game development" tool, but I personally think it's lacking in the "play high quality user created content" realm because there's less quality content as a result of the complexity.

Does anyone have more information than what is included in the article?

This sounds like a basic DOS attack initiated by poisoning the information the router uses to split resources/bandwidth/communication time between multiple users. The important piece will be if it requires an attacker to be authenticated with the AP to pull off.

~~As far as I'm aware, modern WPA2 encryption is still secure against brute force and replay attacks unless you're using WPS Pins for authentication (and I haven't seen a device with that in ages). So~~ this appears to be just another case of "keep untrusted devices off your WLAN".

Edit: I am SUPER out of date with my wifi security knowledge.
