I think my main question would be, how is the start and end of these paths indicated? As that could drastically change the meaning, right?

This is part of what frustrates me so much about these brain chips. They feel far too much like a solution in search of a problem when we have so many other non-invasive options for interface between the body and "cybernetics", even if we're looking for things "at the speed of thought".

Tell that to the blind people with cybernetic eye implants that have been discontinued and are now broken. Or people with implanted insulin pumps from now defunct companies.

These are problems that are already occurring with less serious implanted medical technology.

And you post all 53 of them in a single post instead of drip feeding them across multiple communities? You're an absolute legend!

If it still works like it did in the original, putting some sliders up will move others back, but it isn't equal, so you can ping pong between the sliders that are meant to be mutually exclusive and get both to levels that they shouldn't be able to get to simultaneously.

Edit: Also, the sims with slider unlockers gets even worse than Oblivion, as the game will use the unlocked/modded sliders when it generates random townies. I love my town of goblins with half inside out faces.

Current political discourse certainly doesn't help either.

Yes, things are going to shit (at least in the US) at speed. Getting upset at some random person (or even a large group) who might believe some dumb shit isn't going to change anything. The people pulling the strings listen to the money, not to the masses and their beliefs, no matter how righteous or horrendous those beliefs might be.

And even if the people who believed stupid shit were the root cause of all the problems, unless you legitimately plan to eliminate them, you will at some point have to learn to interact with them to move things forward. You can't just bully Trump voters into submission. They practically get off on that idea that they're somehow the underdog. And like most people, they're people. Not horrid monstrous troglodytes 100% through and through.

A very very soft ESH. I don't see how attempting to correct a misconception is anywhere close to a violation of "Be excellent to each other", but a single day ban is absolutely nothing worth feeling anything about either.

Also, rules aren't computer code, some hard and fast true or false. From the mod's perspective, someone was just given a "verbal" warning and reacted flipantly about it. A single day ban isn't an inappropriate escalation from a comment warning.

Windows 11 displays as Windows 10 in a large number of places internally. It's just a later revision than any of the "actually" Windows 10 ones.
