The fluff text in the terminals is what really got me about the repetition. Like you couldn't write a few more similar paragraphs and shuffle them?

Enjoy while you can.

Don't chase weapon upgrades and crafting research too hard. The minor stat upgrades don't really effect much for the stupid amount of grinding required to get the exact right materials needed.

I found that the novelty of the game wore off pretty quick after I started finding what initially felt like handcrafted points of interest repeating for the third time. Apparently there's a mod that tweaks the RNG to significantly reduce how often things repeat, because it's really rough out of the box.

Trump and Elon don't need to be smart enough for fucking "5D chess" when this basic ass distraction tactic works so damn well.

That's some BS. They started the pride event back when people were actually upset about it being put in the game, but as far as I understood it, "WE PAY WE GAY" is just a community meme now.

Investment group cowards.

Win? Like a fucking gameshow? That's absolutely fucked.

Edit:

For anyone that happens to find this comment, the reality show was pitched to DHS. There's no evidence it went past the point of someone going "Hey DHS I have this horrible idea I want to make money off of". It's kind of like getting a spam call about your car's extended warranty and then CNN reporting "Wizardbeard making plans to extend car warranty". You can find this in the CNN report linked below about it.

Separately, Dr. Phil has been traveling with ICE, officially to get first hand experience for reporting on the situation for the right wing "news" channel he's part of now.

These could be related, but there's no evidence so far that they actually are. ICE and DHS are so distressingly awful that we don't need to speculate and stretch to find extra things to be disgusted about.

They expect the format there to be a screenshot of the post on the microblog service. Not a blurry picture and copy pasted text.

It must be great living with no anxiety or mental issues that would make such interactions not immediately comfortable for the interviewee.

Maybe. I wouldn't personally know.

Sorry, but I'm definitvely not the strawman normie talking down to the neurodivergent people that it reads like you hoped I was.

And how in the hell did you get idea "you think they're fantasizing about a bdsm sex dungeon role play" when someone pauses in an interview out of what I said?

~~First off, I never used the words "role play". Dohohoho.~~

It was an exaggeration for humor's sake, and the scenario in my head was someone just immediately responding to the question with a boatload of details about their sex life.

I mean, if they follow through with the joke from the first movie, it's going to be subtitled "the search for more money".

How about "Voting is active support of a failed and broken system" or something like that. All the people that were telling everyone to simply not vote as if that would somehow help.

It's one of the many questions meant to ensure you're capable of basic human interaction and aware of basic social conventions. You aren't rambling about your BDSM sex dungeon or how much you love setting Teslas on fire in a mock work setting, you have the tact to choose something work appropriate.

It's also because you might be spending 40 fucking hours a week with the person interviewing you, and it can be nice for them to have some small chat topics going in. No workplace is 100% "keep your head down and just work". Human connection is extraneous to the job at hand, but it sure can make those 40 hours far less of a death march every week.

And now it serves yet another minor purpose: it's another flag that might point to the interviewer using ChatGPT to bullshit things.

It's concerning to me that so many people can't come up with even a few useful reasons for a bullshit interview question like that.

If Shrek's gonna look at me with that face, my birthday won't be the only thing that's coming. Hubba hubba.

Didn't they just pass a site-wide decision on the use of LLMs in creating/editing otherwise "human made" text?

Why do they need to take the human element out? Why would anyone want them to?

God I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for Wikipedia. They live and die on the efforts of volunteer editors (like Reddit relied on volunteer mods and third party tool devs). The fastest way to tank themselves is by driving off their volunteers with shit like this.

And it's absurdly easier to lose the good will they have than to rebuild it.
