Mainly just catching up on my fave records from this year, plus a few comps that sounded cool. I'm not done yet!
It's a classic Star Trek storyline but it still checks out. Also love seeing La'an leading the episode
Edit: on further reflection, whilst I enjoyed the episode (all the call backs to TOS vibes were great), I think this shows the weakness of having shorter seasons, in that there's less space (pun intended) for "frivolous" capers like this.
I do love that the staff, be they actors, wardrobe, production, etc don't have an insane routine like the old days but maintain that at least 12-15 episodes per season is a nice compromise
If you like metal then that Jivebomb album is excellent hardcore punk. Along similar lines is Xiao's Control which is more powerviolence but still great
Edit: a more sasscore aligned record you might dig is Emma Goldman's All You Are is We. This features members of Dads Thighs, who put one of my fave emo records The Ghosts that I Fear
I preferred the first record but This Bitter Garden is up there for me as well. End Beginnings from Sandwell District is another honorable mention
I'm a fairly social, enthusiastic person but have a lot of dysphoria around both my appearance and just being human in general
Might be racy depending on what you're drinking...
I recall one house party where I drank half a large bottle of vodka and a whole smaller bottle of vodka, passed out and someone understandably called the ambulance. That of course promptly brought the party to an early end, and I ended up in A&E with an IV drip in my arm. To add insult to injury, when my mum went to the hospital she recognised one of the A&E nurses who she trained. I was grounded for 6 months which I thought back then as well as now was pretty generous!
Maybe more due to a certain someone (I messed up the spoiler markdown so just edited out the name) working through the understandable trauma incurred?
This is the way, you can pick up a Surface Pro 6 for under £250 here on eBay, i7 and 16GB
Oi, we already have a (copy of) the Bayeux Tapestry at home
The original was the first film I watched at the cinema so hearing at least lightly positive reviews was enough to get me to see it today. I'm pretty much in agreement with the reviews, at the very least an entertaining film but not much more, which is entirely what I expected and wanted
Love me some screamo, I'll check out that Slowly Building Weapons record!
