Yes those problems do exist, and considering the conservatives position on these matters, we have work to do.
But I'm happy with our immigration policies, improvements are needed for sure.
I think racism is an issue, and there are many great examples of how as a country we rise above it.
Lack of compassion is a significant problem for sure, the drug addled population are losing the fight against addiction.
The indigenous nations have been treated poorly for sure. That is our nations shame.
But I believe passionately that being a woman, minority, or a transgendered person, Canada is the safest country and there are plenty of opportunities to thrive. And that goes for the rest of us cis-gendered, anglo-caucasians as well.

You might be right, and prices may come down. I am ignorant on goes on with pricing, but what I do see is the farmers are not thriving, and fresh food is always getting more expensive.
Yet Loblaws is able to post amazing profits, and they are the lower priced stores, the more independent stores are struggling to compete and they have to mark up their prices even more.
So my opinion is that farmers and smaller stores are struggling, but middlemen are thriving. This is based on those observations. My lack of trust in corporate models is based on profits over people.
