I think this is my 20th time seeing this posted.
Trolling requires wit and making people laugh in my opinion. All while also riling someone up. This is how it used to be done and is an actual art form when done correctly. The “trolls” on Lemmy just pile on with buzz words and fake rage towards things. There’s never anything smart or funny in any of the “trolling” I see on here.
Evil for insulting people on the internet? No.
Why would anyone be doing that on Lemmy? You’d be doing it where you’d make money/gain popularity and maybe post a link to it on Lemmy somewhere for more exposure.
Because you choose what you want for a community and that’s what they chose.
The answer would be in your filters or blocks in the app you’re using.

They’ll only get notified if you @ notify them in a comment.
Just go to the site and refresh to see new weird taglines at the top every load and you’ll probably get a good idea.
Where are you seeing this? Might be a dbzer0 only thing.
