Not bad because of that but many of the donations going to isreal fits some larger patterns i have picked up on since i started to pay attention to the gaza war.

It started with realizing how involved aipac is in a us election cycle. The "about us" information does not mask things

"WE STAND with those who stand with Israel. The AIPAC PAC is a bipartisan, pro-Israel political action committee. It is the largest pro-Israel PAC in America and contributed more resources directly to candidates than any other PAC. 98% of AIPAC-backed candidates won their general election races in 2022."

Somehow that’s not foreign interference.

Then i became aware of how all the major tech companies have additional offices in "Silicon Wadi" Which is some kind of clone of Silicon Valley owner by Isreal.

But add one very major nuance. My issue is with the Isreal state and corporations that reside their, the global organized entities. It is not with its people or the Jewish religion. I am somewhat fascinated by the origin of Abrahamic religion and them being the oldest makes them a truly fascinated culture to learn from.

Yeah i have stopped using it last week actually.

If you have the extension you have no ads but whenever i wanted to send a link to someone those are poisoned. Using the direct link to wikipedia also had the url encoded for using older settings.

No idea about the israel connection. If i hadent left for those other reasons i would have now

You did more than pass you straight up won the game, well played.

You can collect your prize after logging out of this terminal, after which internet.net will close down indefinitely.

It actually failed. I was trying to see how the display name feature worked but it doesn’t show in voyager app.

My workplace configures edge and chrome by default, were very office365 integrated and support chrome for some dates specific thing.

Now i am privileged with local admin powers so i have firefox. Still the integrations with edge run deep so i still have to use it lots of times. There are plans for copilot which is one of the dummest llm bots (opinion) but is again catered to edge.

I will however never use chrome (anymore). Google was the second tech giant i dropped after facebook. They cannot redeem themselves for destroying the web (opinion). I rarely use search engines anymore but i rather use bing and bing sucks. (duckduck is also based on bing)

Sorry for the rant, but that was relieving. Arch btw.

While i fully agree. What scares me the most is that representation within military and police is incredibly important in context to how those groups get treated.

They’re turning everything in a Ignorant fraternity, and we all know the kind of ideology that will be seeded on those groups.

Terrible, dehumanizing, awefull. The entire process of applying for jobs is one of the absolute worst things society ever made me do.

I did in the end find a good safe job with an open minded manager that respects me and my colleague for our individual expertise and accomplishments.

I am not paid well, there are plenty of grossly better paying jobs within my industry. I don’t care. I know that was the compromise for job security and to me highly valued stability.

I am never doing that ordeal again. I am never applying elsewhere. They would need to drag me from the desk i have now. And they better find me another in house function to do because i am showing up to do my work the next day, wether they keep paying me or not.

(I work in the logistical background of a non profit IT helpdesk, with plenty of freedom, input in our procedures, room to script/program tools that benefit coworkers)

So now only criminals will be able to steal peoples cars. Well done.

They wont even be banned (which would be stupid) Its on the owner to proof they have it for legitimate reasons. The end result will mean the devices will be more hidden in everyday seeming devices. And if they do eventually ban them fully that legal local technological knowledge will be dragging behind criminal innovation.

You want these devices out there to increase awareness of their existence and to pressure manufacturer to make their devices more safe.

Example: Remember how Tesla can remote (un)lock cars? Exploit waiting to happen and the potential ban on encryption is going to make it so much worse.

Ostrich politics.
