Objectively,

Because we would be avoiding the 2 jet lag times a year which have been proven to cause deadly (traffic) accidents.

Because the other alternative of always dst means sun only gets up at 10am in winter which can negatively impact mental health (especially for children and teenagers)

Subjectively,

Because some people actually enjoy summer nights.

Because getting up on time is easier with more sunlight. And waking gradually and naturally at 5:30 beats waking forcefully by alarm at 6:30

How far north do you live to get darkness at 3.30 pm?

Its also not a choice between ops pictures and this because i am convinced they are criticising daylight saving In summer, which does not affect winter.

I understand what you are saying but i hope you never invent something that can solve a current day crisis.

We are already behind schedule to solve things like climate change. If someone invents breakthrough tech then we need that today and open so other minds can quickly iterate and improve. Not after 20 years of stalling on a bureaucratic advantage.

If it wasn’t for capitalism chaining survival to productivity there would be no reason for this system to exist and we can move on to teach that “all good ideas should be copied” And “the same ideas can emerge in multiple different minds”

This is rage bait.

There are many upsetting things about the ai industry but digitising purchased material ain’t it.

If anything this is a boon for information archivism. Unless we ww ourself Into a new stone age this dataset could easily survive some of the books it contains.

Yes and yes, but first you have to make it into a pigsiron alloy from blood, iron and clay.

But calling someone of the political class who is not involved in “declassifying” politics a communist IS an insult to communism.

Add it to the pile.

I had an idea to go to events that you believe will be disappointing.

If it is disappointing you were mentally prepared for it and can have a (respectful) laugh about it.

But whenever something mildly exciting does happen it will hit multiple fold.

Never convinced anyone to come with.

A voucher for the company produced bag of rice, a place to sleep in the barracks next to the workplace and the “promise” of some definition of healthcare.

Except even with a 20% pat cut it might still be hard to get because any amount of personal time threatens your dedication to their profits.
