I struggle with to-do lists also and I've tried lots of different techniques and approaches. This would definitely not work for me. If I throw it away at the end of the day, I have to rely on my memory to know what I need to do tomorrow, which is the reason I use a to-do list in the first place...

Yeah that can't continue. You need to let someone know how bad it's gotten and that your mother won't help you; a teacher you trust, etc. Next time, before it escalates very far if possible, call the police.
