I think it’ll have an effect. If you think of the cross section of the piping in the condenser (radiator in the outside unit shown in photo), you have heat trying to transfer from the fluid on the inside diameter, through the pipe wall, then to the air surrounding the outer diameter.

Heat has to flow from hot to cold, so ideally you have a gradient from hot to cold going from inside to outside.

But suppose the sun intensely heats that pipe wall and it ends up higher than either fluid on either side of it. Now you’ve got heat flowing from the wall to both inside and outside.

Not saying that ever happens, but every degree warmer that the pipe wall is, is a slow down in the heat transfer rate. Less of a gradient for the heat flow.

I like this comment even though I can’t actually confirm it’s sarcasm. I think it’s be great if we all spent 0,0087% of our wealth on engagement rings.

I liked the switches analogy! Generally about binary though; I agree it doesn’t connect back to the number of users application.

And yeah most important number…sounds like they were quoting an LLM.

Ah that’s the angle. I was like “Ok not a good thing but I guess not that bad” and was optimistically surprised, but alas…

I get it but which definition came first? Sometimes I feel we should protest the sexualization of formerly innocent words.

Ah ok! I initially read that as Biowife, so I assumed there was a real pregnancy scare. And you know, Biowife as opposed to digital waifu or whatever.

Veganism definitely has terrible PR. But we also have to be wary of cherry picking the extremists from a movement as representatives of the whole.

I’d like to be 100% vegan, I’m not but I try. We started with weekday vegetarianism and went from there. Moderation is absolutely effective, IMO.

I’m so thankful the internet showed me how cute they are. The ones I’m familiar with are too small to see the facial features and proportions. But now that I know I think they’re super cute.

I don’t mind spiders at all but I can totally understand why people have arachnophobia. That’s why I find it hilarious that there’s this one species, a “jumping” species no less, that magically can flip from grotesque to cute.

I have faith it can be controlled within the project itself, I think politics has greater influence in the selection of what gets studied in the first place.

I think I’m going to concede the point. I was honestly more putting my momentum theory the test.

Also just saw this and thought of you and that you’re right :P
