Voyager might be maintained by a single person, but let’s not fool ourselves who created it. Voyager is a direct clone of Christian Selig’s Apollo for Reddit.

I love Voyager as much as the next Lemming, but I’ll be damned if credit isn’t given where credit is due.

“Pierre Poilievre supporters do not believe the polls,” The Pleb told his followers on April 9. “We believe the crowds.”

If it was up to the mob, they’d choose Barabbas.

There is a kind of shame worse than being fired when you’ve been shown a corporate mercy for fucking up.

So delete all pharmaceutical IP to make drugs accessible to everyone and save taxpayers trillions?

Paul said the idea to question the polls started around a coffee table with a small group of Poilievre supporters. He said they plan to travel across the country starting Thursday to conduct their own live polls from rallies since they believe there is a disconnect between the momentum that they say they're witnessing on the ground and the results in public opinion surveys.

It’s like they think they’re at a hockey game expecting to see people in visitor jerseys.

I started watching Avenue 5 last week because I read on tvdb that the series had ended. Not for a moment did I consider the possibility that the show was cancelled. It’s probably for the best anyway because the show was actually starting to irritate me by the second season.

Judging by the faded colours, they probably cheaped out on the print as well.

SNW is the breath of fresh air that restored my faith in the franchise.

He said voters shouldn't think Carney is any different from Trudeau "because he has a banker's haircut and wears a pair of blue socks."

Ladies and gentlemen, the official opposition.

Star Trek Picard and Star Trek Discovery. There were a lot of good ideas, but the execution wasn’t there overall.

The only time I was ok with this was during the “Avengers assemble” scene in Endgame.

Interesting. I’ve been looking for an alternative to Omnivore I could self-host.

Apple has released a guided tour of Vision Pro on its website that walks through a bunch of its features. Whether or not you’re planning to purchase Apple Vision Pro, this video is worth taking the time to watch.

It all started with an online video of what appeared to be Elon Musk promoting a new investment opportunity...

Before joining Mastodon I remember reading about how instance owners could potentially have access to their user’s chats and messages. I don’t think I ever saw this about Lemmy, or at least never looked into that much. Is that also the case here? How much info is accessible by the owners here?

That said I love the service and am happy to be here lol

Are there any technical/performance reasons why I couldn’t create an instance for myself and host a Plex server off of the same machine at home?

I’m fairly new to self-hosting in general, so any insight would be appreciated!

EDIT: I completely forgot to mention that this would be for a Mastodon instance, not for Lemmy.
