I loved True Colors as well.

People have hacked a lot of those onto the old official engine actually (MGE XE) :D OpenMW is more focused on fundamentals than on the flashy stuff, but AFAIK currently has great fog support and the ability to load custom shaders from mods

What would even be the point of an official remaster when you can combine the OpenMW engine with a mod pack? And there's Skywind the great remake still in the making…

Sure, I mean, I don't have any of these though, and I don't want to deal with even the remote possibility of snail mail arriving From The Internet.

Njalla is bad because you don’t actually own the domain and there have been instances of them shutting down / revoking access?

Haven't heard of them revoking access for any legitimate users. I like not actually owning the domain because this means not ever seeing a fucking form asking for my literal home address.

  • WHOIS privacy is like the most common feature among registrars?
  • Mail forwarding isn't always free but pretty common too
  • According to dongleauth DNSimple, Gandi, Namecheap, and Porkbun also support webauthn right now (hover plsss)

Hair removal is hair removal, there's no need for "trans services". You're not obligated to out yourself to the professionals.

One bit of laser advice: do ask the person doing it to use more power!

Look for used ThinkPads with Ryzen, I bought an L14g2 (5850U+16GB) for about 600 USD and it's just amazing value

All around good vibes… hearing musical performances in the subway and even on buses sometimes, buying a kilo of artisanal ice cream at night just across the street from home, taking a rental bike instead of a bus to exercise a bit when it's not 36 degrees out, taking a friend out to a concert and screaming until we lose our voices, getting recognized every time by the fruit vendor in the corner store, going to events at the local hackerspace… there's a lot :3

That refcount++ and refcount-- needs to be synchronized between threads

Only for things that you specifically want shared between threads – namely this (synchronized refcount) is an std::sync::Arc. What you want to share really depends on the app; in database-backed web services it's quite common to have pretty much zero state shared across threads. Multithreaded environment doesn't imply sharing!

It's not "really liberal" if you're forced to interact with psychiatrists and commissions and whatever the hell to change your documents. "At least you weren't forced to have 'The' surgery™ to change your documents" is a really, really low floor. Argentina set the standard in 2012: self ID means self ID, you just submit your request and get a new birth certificate, then submit that do refresh the ID card.
