"Democracy dies in darkness" turned out to be their guiding principle, just not in the way people thought.

You're about 11 months behind, they announced the full cast back in February 2024.

"Fry, remember when I told you about always ending your sentences a word earlier?"

They're considering 26% to be low. There's 46% support for military round-ups and internment camps among Republican voters compared with 26% among all voters surveyed.

It's a shame that's not what they released on Sega CD. Presumably because of licensing issues, the arcade game has never seen any home release. This was the one chance and instead it's a pretty standard FMV game.

Does your local theater show Peacock movies, because you might have a hard time otherwise.

I'm sure you know this, but as an addendum, the majority of films shot digitally have been filmed with 2K/1080p cameras. Obviously there are exceptions and also modern, effects-heavy films might have their compositing done in 4K, so I'm not saying there's no benefit to going over 2K. However, in many cases you're already getting the intended picture at 2K and upscaling is not bringing you any closer to the filmmakers' ideal presentation.

Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me

It's an absolutely amazing album but also the most tragically sad work I've ever engaged with in any medium. I've only listened to it once because it turned me into a complete mess. I don't know whether I'll ever hear it again.

Mount Eerie is Phil Elverum and A Crow Looked at Me chronicles the illness, death and grieving for his wife, artist and musician Geneviève Castrée. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer four months after the birth of their daughter and passed a year later.

It's filled with large and small observations, like the fact that there's no deeper meaning to Castrée's death and describing the things she did for their daughter before her passing, like buying her a backpack she knew she would never live to see her use.

It is a brutally tough listen.

That's a pretty normal part of the fediverse. Somebody from your instance has to be subbed to a community for your instance to start pulling in its posts. Anything that was posted while nobody was subbed doesn't exist on your end.

Wasn't sure if this was real or just for the memes, but it's legit: Khnumhotep and Niankhkhnum - Wikipedia

That's not an astronaut, that's a TV comedian! And he was just using space travel as a metaphor for beating his wife.
