So first off, I think this is a bullshit witch hunt.
That said, this is a disingenuous take on the "controversy". The issue isn't whether an autopen was used, but whether it was used without the signatory's (Biden) knowledge/consent. They're claiming that aides were signing stuff on Biden's behalf without him knowing. It's a variation on the whole "he's too old to know what's even going on" thing.
