@Communist @PseudoSpock I wonder what his opinion on systemd and immutable distros is.

@rotopenguin @1984 This break of extensions is the first real break. You can customize every thing on #Gnome with an extension, so there never can and will be a stable not breaking API for this.
In the most cases extension developers had just to put the next version number to their config file to make it compatible with the next version. If they didn’t you could just disable the test for it and most extensions kept working.
Having a stable API for Gnome extensions would mean no change to Gnome.
@beta_tester @alounoz No, Fedora is independent and all Gnome is affected by this. It is very sad that RH is not interested in the Linux Desktop and I doubt that Canonical will assign resources to these projects.
@yum13241 I want a distribution with recent packages = Arch | Fedora
I want a stable and polished distribution = Fedora
I don’t care for the AUR as is not needed anymore in times of flatpak and distrobox.
@vettnerk I don’t like Mint, because it looks ugly and dated. (But it is good that there is this distribution for all the boomers out there).
I don’t like arch, because what is the point, if you can use Fedora instead.
I don’t like Ubuntu, but the hate against it is much worse than the distribution itself.
@Defaced Distrobox ist included in the Fedora repository. Have you ever used Fedora? Or are you just spreading your prejudices here?
@petsoi That should become the #Gnome default, what do you think?
