I have two chihuahuas so I take them on three walks per day, but just two of those walks are what I call “medium” walks for them, it’s a few big blocks around the neighborhood.
What you reminded me of is when I do my 5+ km walks, I bring one of them in a shoulder bag carrier for dogs. They can’t walk that far every day due to their size but they still absolutely love the adventure.
Yeah, the language here seems to fall outside what you or I think of as a clique. To me it essentially just means a group of people but clearly there has to be some other definition.
My wife is from Mexico so nothing in stores will do. My recommendation would be “nothing American.” ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well sadly for me I’m a naturalized citizen despite what the Lemmy instance I’m on might lead you to believe.
Interesting; I use Markdown all the time but have never thought about the backslash character. That’ll be tricky to remember since my Lemmy client doesn’t show the text field in a monospaced font (which would trigger “Markdown mode” in my brain).
