Keurig coffee makers. My first one killed itself during descaling, the in-warranty replacement’s buttons were cursed and never worked. I always felt guilty for destroying the planet one K-Cup at a time too.

Really? Everything I’ve ever read about it says it only occurs for users inside the US. I don’t use Google services and am physically in the US (though I won’t be two weeks from now!) so I can neither confirm nor deny.
