You would set up the allowlist in your firewall. There are plenty of free options for dynamic DNS though not from any ISPs that I’m aware of.

I was forced to move my instance to my home IP. I think Google is flagging anything that might not be residential, mobile. I’m only really using it as a backend for iOS devices using Yattee.

You can easily set a DoH profile on Apple TV as well.

This is cool but it looks like the implementation is missing a bunch of features that NextDNS has with Tailscale. Hopefully they’ll keep adding stuff.

That’s great for them and good on you for upgrading. After the upgrade from v1 to v2, I switched to caddy. Traefik was too much for me.

I appreciate this perspective and that was also my immediate reaction. Then I realized, as long as I can easily export my data and move elsewhere, I shouldn’t be too concerned.
