I see Russia as more fascistic and right-wing than Ukraine

Who cares, socialists in imperialists countries don't support their side in proxy wars, period.

Same as plenty of socialists I've seen lately, vote blue no matter who

Don't know why I didn't see it coming that everyone would fall in line to save democracy again

Yeah I remember from that episode that he seemed crazy

Even the wikipedia article criticizes the "ghost city" concept since plenty of cities that were initially labeled as such eventually filled out

Like, which part specifically?

I haven't heard it yet, most of my knowledge is from the radio war nerd episode on the soviet intervention which talks a lot about the government, and yeah I can see how pushing for state atheism and women's rights unfortunately damaged the viability of the government. Also the geographic fact that as long as Pakistan was US-aligned the communists would always have to deal with insurgent terrorism since the border with Pakistan was so porous

Is this real? Like, I speak Portuguese and this ruling has only reached me through that "Daily Loud" twitter post.

And I'm too lazy to check

Lula isn't a social democrat though, I'm pretty sure he's a democratic socialist.

He would 100% call himself a social democrat over a socialist. So would brazillian communists

But as I was saying: I see things different today. I still want to change the world and make Denmark a fairer place but only with peaceful and democratic means.

I love Denmark. I love the society and the form of society (josus-stalin ) we have developed for the last century.

You seem completely right on this guy being an opportunist, and you layed out exactly why by revealing that party's position on NATO, but these statements shouldn't be unexpected from anyone seeking to have any real power because at the end of the day in this current context no one, including the working class, is going to think of you as someone worth giving power to if you're not "peaceful and democratic" and don't "love your country" (although the later part about the "form of society" is sus), these are both statements that can have positive connotations if you're a socialist even if the online left insists on reading them as dogwhistles.

Declarations of the opposite will get you read, probably correctly, as unserious by the same people you're supposed to want a better life for.
