I wouldn't say MSN isn't a source but I see what you mean about the author info at the bottom. Looks like I also missed the part at the top of the MSN link that said it was originally posted at TheDesk, so I guess it is legit. I'd only searched up other sources just to cross-check the original to see if more than one outlet was talking about it and check its validity, so either way yeah it checks out.

msn has that name recognition. never heard of the other people.

It would certainly make me pause until they explained themselves

yeahhh, on second glance... OP's username leans towards trolling

Yeah I definitely want to see how they respond

can't stand them cause i hate vertical videos. at first they were restricted to vine, then tiktok... then they broke containment and every video service out there wanted to stuff them in their app whether people asked for them or not.

Oh, yeah, it is a Kindle Fire. I never got into e-ink.

I was able to just install F-droid and from there get Obtainium to import my usual apps, including Librera which I prefer over KoReader. No jailbreak necessary.

However... I do eventually wanna jailbreak it and get Amazon's presence off there entirely if I can. Thanks for the references, for when I get there.

Just letting the more non-techy people know that you can get FOSS apps like KoReader without having to go all the way, so to speak.

Piped.video is an option directly in the browser. Or Invidious.

On mobile (android) I've seen NewPipe as an option

Not everything done so far has been legal and there are multiple ongoing cases suing Trump's actions. Book bans, healthcare, and anti-trans legislation are the first that come to mind. People and organizations (e.g. ACLU) in positions of power are trying to stand up for the common person where they can. If I had more money I'd donate to them.
