100k people just voted uncommitted against Biden in the Michigan primary, I think they are getting the message

Sega v. Accolade was about using proprietary code, Sega lost and the small snippet of code that was reverse engineered out of the Genesis was deemed fair use because there was no other way to get an unlicensed cartridge to run on the console

More people voted for Biden in the 2020 election than any other candidate in American history by a pretty significant margin, voter turnout in both midterms and general elections are at their highest points in 100 years, obviously something is working

Not voting for the lesser of two evils helps the greater evil, whoever you think that might be in this election

They know it's not secure, they're hoping it will broadly stop (or at the very least, extremely hinder) people from watching porn

Making anything that isn't missionary position between a married man and woman under the covers with the lights off for the sole purpose of procreation illegal has been a long standing goal of modern conservatives, and they're currently inching their way there

Well what are you proposing? In my mind we either trust parents to be able to ultimately make decisions like this for their children, or we don't and we make it illegal?

Every time I see someone bring up "why are we trusting kids to decide that they're trans", I remind them that they're not making decisions by themselves, they have parents and counselors/doctors/professionals making decisions for them, which either is not engaged with (most common response) or is met with "We can't trust parents and doctors either".

Frankly, if we can't broadly trust parents and childcare professionals to have their children's best interests in mind, we're already fucked, so we might as well do nothing and hopefully at least let the actual trans kids live their life in peace anyway.

You're right, we should instead trust the well-known-as-100%-infallible politicians to unilaterally make those decisions for us instead

That's why children have parents and medical professionals to ultimately investigate and make important decisions for them

Wait why are the banks investing in home loans when instead investing that money into the stock market (should?) yield greater returns over the course of the loan period (even at a very conservative 5% yearly compounding interest, $400,000 turns into $1.7M over the course of 30 years)
