On April 2, 1870, Woodhull's letter to the editor of the New York Herald was published, announcing her candidacy. She was influenced by retired Civil War general and congressman Benjamin Butler by basing her candidacy on the idea that there was no need for women to have special legislation to win suffrage as they already had attained it through the 14th and 15th Amendments of the Constitution.

Woodhull was nominated for president of the United States by the newly formed Equal Rights Party on May 10, 1872, at Apollo Hall, New York City. A year earlier, she had announced her intention to run. Also in 1871, she publicly spoke out against the government only being composed of men; she proposed the development of a new constitution and the creation of a new government a year thence. Her nomination was ratified at the convention on June 6, 1872, making her the first woman candidate.

Let me catch you up. On July 15th, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sent Whoop a letter. In it, the FDA declared that Whoop — maker of a niche fitness tracker favored by elite athletes — had crossed a line. Its new Blood Pressure Insights feature, the regulator said, was being marketed to customers without undergoing the proper clearance process.

In response, Whoop pulled out the W word: wellness.

In the world of health and wearable tech, “wellness” is sort of like a “get out of jail free” card. Some advanced health features, like EKGs and atrial fibrillation notifications, require regulatory clearance before consumers can use them. These features could be interpreted as diagnostic in nature or prompt a person to make a medical decision. Others, like step tracking and blood oxygen measurements, don’t require FDA oversight at all. They’re simply meant to make living a healthy life easier by helping you visualize certain measurable markers. Those features fall under the wellness umbrella. They’re “just for fun.”

The Faculty Senate at George Mason University in Virginia adopted a resolution supporting the school’s president and his work related to diversity. The Justice Department says it will investigate.

Over 10 years later, Republicans are once again preparing for a critical Senate election in North Carolina. And they are tripling down on their old dirty tricks.

This time, their preferred candidate is Mike Whatley, a North Carolina lawyer and current RNC chair. Whatley campaigned for chair by convincing Trump that he would be more aggressive in attacking voting rights than his predecessor, Ronna McDaniel. And his tenure at the RNC was marked by prioritizing programs aimed at making it harder to vote and easier for Republicans to cheat if they disagree with the outcome.

I believe this was the tie-in point and click game for the 2015 movie since the publish date is the same.

I think I know what this is about. Terror in Little Creek is coming out later that same month. They want you to forget the 2015 game.

I think what makes this difficult for MAGA is that if we see Democrats are on the list, lock 'em up. We don't care about party. I believe that takes away Trump's only leverage.

Yeah. I was, like, "wait a minute." xD I used to watch No Reservations. Quickly looked up Anthony Bourdain with Obama just to make sure. They were featured together in Parts Unknown.

Thanks. I actually follow those guys!

I should mention that around the time of tripping upon and posting this article, I did catch their post about US supposedly investing in a carbon capture machine pretty close by on my feed reader. It seemed oddly out of place given recent events. Not to mention combined with all the other niche or local outlets I follow, some of which are specifically about renewable technologies.

So, yeah, alarm bells were already ringing.
