Hi people, I'm looking for buying advice. I'm planning to replace my MacBook Pro 13 Retina 2015 with a MacBook Air 13 M2 with 16GB and 512GB.
It's not going to be my main computer; I have a desktop PC that I use for heavy tasks. The idea is to use the MBA when I travel or work outside home. That's why the portability factor is important to me, and the M2 Air looks so thin and light.

My workflow would include web browsing (15-20 tabs), Excel, Word, watching movies/media, Traktor DJ, and maybe a little bit of light Ableton (nothing very heavy, as I use my desktop PC for heavy tasks).

One of my concerns is the passive cooling and thermals. I don't like my devices to get too hot, as it has a direct impact on their lifespan. All my previous computers had active cooling. I have read that the "Low Power Mode" is very effective in keeping it cool.
What are your experiences with this?

The other thing is that I'm a long-term user (still rocking my MBP 2015 to this day). When I buy a device, I want it to last for many years to come. Do you think it's a good choice for my needs?

Thank you in advance, and sorry for my bad English! :/
