What does that have to do with less people being killed? Even if they went unsolved there are less overall.

Yeah because that's horrific? What point are you making?

Why would I respond to baseless points that are leveled against resistance groups without fail EVERY TIME there is a conflict like this? It's tired, I'm not that young, I've heard all of this already. What is your basis for saying Hamas has been purposely using Palestinians as human shields? I would have the same discussion in person, I'm open with my beliefs. I don't want Hamas to kill anyone FFS, I'm a Buddhist and a vegetarian, I don't even want someone to kill a fly, putting words in my mouth is not a useful way to win an argument.

People have been cutting funds all over the place, I wouldn't be surprised if they saw 24/7 monitoring of radio traffic in the budget and thought "eh fuck it, the drones and text/phone surveillance is good enough."

I saw one analyst early on say it could be likely the incursion forces had been using non-electronic communication to thwart monitoring. There was a US war-game I read about some years ago where they simulated an invasion against an enemy using no radio or digital methods while they had all their fancy gear for sigint. They couldn't see shit and got ambushed constantly with significant losses. The opfor used smoke signals, notes left in places, maybe even carrier pigeons, I don't recall the specifics, but it was a fun read.

This makes a ton of sense, US police do train with the IDF after all.

According to a quote from the general about that incident they were caught off-guard with few troops, and most outside defending were non-combat personnel. I wouldn't have a ton of confidence in them either though.

I briefly watched part of the Avengers movie when it was new and even before any blatant propaganda it just felt gross and I wasn't quite sure why. It almost reminded me of watching a Christian PSA, like it just had a weird false feeling to it.

Damn that's interesting aspect of it I didn't think much of. I was just talking to a friend about their theory that sound and smell are actually more primary senses for humans historically rather than sight. Imagine living in an area with the sound of ongoing bombardment and drones for much of your life as well. There is no way average people in the US would be so blood-thirsty if they had any experience of these things first-hand.

I read an article somewhere talking about actions today and they casually mentioned a tank fired at a car on the road, with no other details. Why isn't this footage plastered everywhere like the Russian invasion? All I have ever seen when I've happened to catch the TV news were pictures of empty gray rubble or infrared footage. Watching the journalist describe the incident in the end is heart-breaking. It's so easy to hear the numbers and become numb, maybe people need to hear these stories to really have any empathy for the loss of life.

I did respond, I didn't flatly call you a liar, I was implying that from my perspective your view seems to either be deliberately antagonistic and untrue or you are not receiving accurate coverage of the conflict. I love Jewish people, I'm not an antisemite or desire any sort of death for Jews or any other group for that matter, but the actions of Israel should be condemned, and they have engaged in massive misinformation campaigns related to Palestine for decades. This is not to say I don't also condemn terrorism and killing of civilians by Hamas as well. But it is relevant to examine who is the original aggressor in the conflict and for what reason the conflict began.
