It's funny, when I started going to a therapist, they said something like "well, maybe you have depression, or maybe being upset at everything going on and wanting to do anything but work for the same capitalist forces that perpetuate this massive injustice is actually the rational position, and there isn't anything wrong with your brain?" They were a comrade therapist <3

We would call the sauce for burgers, fries etc ketchup, 'tomato sauce' in the US would be the sort for pasta, like marinara. If you asked for tomato sauce for a burger people would be very confused lol.

I think research has shown that every day tokers actually have a lower body fat percentage than the average. I actually get a high-protein granola from the store that has hemp seeds in it, they are high in amino acids and protein. It isn't super obvious it has hemp in it too so in a way they did sneak cannabis into it haha.

There is an interesting loophole active right now in the US, a person can buy 'high THCA hemp flower', which is identical in composition to bud sold at a recreational dispensary, and it is not regulated and can be shipped across state lines legally through even the USPS. There might be some restrictions in certain states, but you can see an example of this bud here: https://www.luckyelk.com/buy/thca/overview

So long as the THC content is below 0.3% it is not considered cannabis in the same way federally apparently. But most smokable weed has very low THC and high THCA, which is converted to THC when burned, so this bud that falls in this category is just as good as stuff you can get from a dispensary often.

The international standard for freezing food is -18C, about 0F, they are talking about increasing that by three degrees to about 3F or -15c, which would have no impact on likeliness of food poisoning. People should use private jets less as well but this seems like a change that could be made across an industry more easily. This isn't about people turning up their freezers at home but rather commercial food operations which accounts for a much larger portion of energy used.

You have tomato sauce packets? It's funny to think of ketchup as tomato sauce, in the US if you called it that everyone would be confused even though it is really the most accurate thing you could call it

A place I worked had a noodle machine made in Japan. The manufacturer had us send noodles to them from our shop in the US to ensure the machine was working properly and that our noodles were good, I had never heard of any other sort of company doing that. Where I work now has top quality machinery and they are mostly made in Japan.

Also from the US west, I've seen a bunch of hot vending machines! In several hospitals and schools in different states, a few gas stations. They will have coffee, tea or cocoa selections, a cup pops out and gets filled with fresh brewed coffee. They were usually around 1.50 to 2 dollars a cup, maybe more expensive now though.

I've seen this harassment all the time in non-competitive games though. Even on the PS3 playing GTAIV, when my character was a woman, people would follow me, two different times people added me, no one had when I was a male character. One of them messaged me asking if I was actually a woman lol. Obviously this is just anecdotal, but there are plenty of stats about this sort of thing.

If your view is that most people are self-centered and nasty I think you maybe need to socialize with different people. Like you said the anonymity of the internet dehumanizes people and encourages more toxic behavior, I don't believe most people really are so toxic though.

I agree that a school doing each individual students meal like that would be inefficient, and yeah it's better if you have a rare allergy or condition to just prepare food yourself haha. I think there are larger groups that can be recognized that have specific diets like kosher, halal, vegetarian etc that are not so rare that it isn't a massive undertaking to have that as well. Maybe like if a certain percentage of students have a diet the school would prepare that.
