The only active 'left' group I see in public in my area are part of some well funded Trotsky communist group. They will have a table telling people to join a communist political party but they charge money for even a tiny sticker, it just gives a bad impression that they don't even have a flyer or something to hand out, or actually do anything helpful for anyone around.

Why do you say things like 'goal posts' and 'strawman' instead of actually talking like a conversation. From what I can tell the person you were responding to was talking about what made a difference, not what people care about. Many people care a lot about all the issues you mentioned but they were saying that the protests and boycotts didn't directly make much of an impact against these companies or groups.
I tried to stop all of this with that essay I wrote in 8th grade about the Patriot Act, but does anyone ever listen??
One of things that stood out to me learning about European contact with natives was that the reports from Euros were largely like "omg look at these weird savages, we must teach them about the Lord and good manners!" But many tribes, having come into contact with various other tribes with different cultures for centuries, were like "Oh look, people, lets say hey and give them gifts." From a young age I had the thought "the Europeans were actually the less civilized and cultured people weren't they?"
What difference does that make on your reporting? If this post is racist then defend your reasoning.
Wholesome to see people help, but the main feeling I get is revulsion that this person can have a wheelchair provided with insurance but can't even get proper functionality without paying.
If viewed like a 'total war', attacking every possible advantage the enemy may have whether civilian or military, it does makes sense from a historic military doctrine standpoint. The IDF believes they are immune to judgement and prosecution, and their goal is to destroy the Palestinian nation and people. They believe they are righteous, supported by God, so any attack that has a chance to weaken the Palestinian people is an attack they will take.
Overall though I believe these attacks have weakened support for Israel so much that they have a greater chance of being defeated than anytime I've seen before this conflict.
In my experience people in the Northeast US pretty much never refer to New York City as just 'New York'. New York will mean the state, they will say 'the city' or 'NYC' to differentiate from the state. Or they will say upstate to mean the rest of the state outside of NYC metro area.
It appears so, it was called other things by native people but the Dutch seem to be the first to call it Long Island in the 1600s. Many geographic features in the area have similar sort of names, like Short Hill, East River, West River, Indian Hill, Short Beach, Beaver Swamp, the colonists really weren't very clever with their naming.
Especially when knowing that the attacking force has no care for whether their strikes hit a foreign aid group or Palestinian civilians.
Their supporters still will say they have the most sophisticated weaponry and guidance systems. These attacks are purposeful.
It helps those people have their needs met in the immediate term though, people still are dying of starvation and exposure in the US. Without a recognized ideology you will be less likely to be targeted by police or political groups, so I do see the reasoning behind separating aid and ideology. People that need food aren't trying to be lectured, I have relied on food banks in the past and if it was required I attended a lecture or something before getting help that would be some bullshit, but they could have pamphlets available like Food Not Bombs.
