It's ABC, but it's also the result of Singh. NDP was neck and neck with Liberals when the Liberals were polling poorly, which could've been the NDP's chance. If Singh still doesn't get replaced after this election, I don't think the NDP is going to fare well.

Despite the obvious hypocrisy with Taiwan and Hong Kong, he does benefit from supporting Ukraine since it ensures further destabilization of Russia.

He won't get hired if he isn't able to speak the language (whatever that might be for the region/clinic/hospital), it doesn't need to be part of licensing.

Absolute nonsense - an English speaking doctor would be very successful in many Quebec communities, likewise a French speaking doctor would have a lot of success in many communities outside of Quebec. There's also just as many non-English/French communities where this would be a "problem". Regulating what language a doctor "must" speak would be just another wasteful bureaucratic hoop.

She might get some exceptions or reductions because of her bootlicking, but keeping them is going to mean keeping up with Trump's changing demands. It's a short-sighted way that will result in a complete loss of our sovereignty - though she's probably fine with that 🙄

Honestly just another reason that ranked choice isn't the best version of electoral reform :P

Disagree on your assessment of why PR failed, but I agree with it being the bottom of my priorities right now. Back in 2013 I voted Liberal for the first time (normally an NDP voter) purely for electoral reform - it's incredibly important for the long term health of our democracy. However, we're in an economic crisis, and I really think we need to survive the next few years before we can worry about long term health, and I think Carney is the right guy for that. I will be happy to see him replaced with someone more progressive down the road.
