Yeah… I’ve watched all of his stuff but his like… stammering to get a joke out that’s super characteristic of his is particularly grating now. Love everything he’s done but that particular quirk I could do without.

Wasn’t she in a series of super popular Marvel movies where she had a relationship with her boss?

This guy’s hot dogs probably aren’t even $13.

Watching a game be played is like listening to someone read you the script of a movie imo.

Yeah, numbers are likely way off but I’m sure it’s the same reason they’re not ever going to crack down on mods. At any given time I’m seeing 10k+ accounts online in Mare and I don’t play during peak times. That’d be a huge hit if they banned ONLY 10-20k accounts.

where did you get those wall mounted platforms?

[–] tkohldesac@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I did some quick math (read: asked ChatGPT) and there are 9000 plots per world and 90 worlds. Thats 810k plots. Assuming $13/month for entry is the standard and all plots are taken by individuals (they aren’t) that’s $10,530,00/month in just homeowners. I know these numbers are largely useless but it’s gotta be close-ish. And that’s nuts.

Calling it now, The Super Smash Bros. movie is the endgame so we’ll have an NCU complete with an Avengers.

I’m a middle aged dad. I’m probably not the best but I used to be good-ish and my win/loss is typically skewed toward wins so I’m not terrible but that doesn’t matter to me, I’m super casual (now). Just looking for people to play with, kinda bored playin alone and am nostalgic for the days of 4 TVs and 4 Xboxes all in the same room. I play both the mcc and Infinite. Typically play evenings pacific time, lemme know if you’re interested!

So i used some 99% isopropyl alcohol on a couple buttons on the deck and now my screen has weird streaks. I’m devastated. Will it be ok? It’s only viewable at certain angles but this has been the device i’ve taken best care of.

Update: The smudge is 99% gone but the weird X going across the whole screen remains. I’m only a little disappointed but I’ve been tinkering with electronics my entire life and I’ve never seen this before so I’m more fascinated than anything. View from my normal angle is undisturbed.

In an effort to get some more discussion going I figured I'd ask this here. I'm in a mostly-solo FC right now and I need GC Seals like mad to upgrade my subs. I can't find any post-DT info on the quickest/best route to getting GC Seals. I know I can turn my nut sacks into gear in Old Sharlayan but I'm not interested in that, I'm looking for Unsync'd duties. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

If you buy someone’s kid a toy for their birthday or a holiday, how long before you’re not offended to find out it’s been chucked?

To whom it may yoho:

So I’ve got a linux server with Docker installed a a container with Deluge in it. I have 98 torrents currently in Active or Seeding status. My download and upload speeds are set according to my calculated rates for my speed test. Ports are set for incoming connections, that port is included in the Docker container config, allowed through the firewall on the server itself and forwarding set up on my router. I have 3 private trackers I’m testing with those 98 torrents and the torrents are a mix of high seeding demand torrents and just whatever I had sitting around. The only torrent out of 98 that are uploading anything is the Ubuntu torrent I’ve been using to see if it could be the private trackers.

Speed test:

Download speed is 347Mbps Upload speed is 23Mbps

DNS settings are set to use 75.75.75.75 and 76.76.76.76 and 8.8.8.8 on my router. My server is set to use the router as the DNS.

The 63430 port I’m using has been confirmed as open from external port checkers.

I have tried using qbitorrent on a separate machine and have been running into the same problems so it sounds like it’s a network-wide issue.

I am not behind a VPN (yet… though it sounds like it could be a requirement)

This is my home network and I own the Gateway so any ISP shenanigans would be from outside the home.

Does anyone have any suggestions? And is this the right place to ask?

Thank you in advance! I’m running out of hair to tear out!

Way late edit: In case anyone finds this in the future, my permissions were set incorrectly. The user that was running the torrent app didn’t have folder access…

I was hanging a ceiling fan in this room when I discovered that the mounting screw holes in the electrical box are stripped. My dad has suggested using JB Weld putty, letting it cure, drilling it out with a small bit and then using wood screws. First time homeowner and have neither the confidence nor the expertise to completely replace the box. Is my dad’s route the best course of action or is it a waste of time and/or dangerous to go that route?
