For you. Red/yellow/green flags can be entirely subjective, and what's yellow for you can be green for someone else.

Do you know if it's possible to have some mild form of this? Me and my brother have been trying to work out our "digestive" issues for a few years with doctors with no success.

I can relate to the feeling of food/drink feeling like its "piling up" because sometimes I throw up last nights dinner when I'm brushing my tongue the next day.

It's something that's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I don't know if that plays into it.

Just rubbed some dirt in it and said a cool one liner tbh. No big deal.

I didn't squeal in pain and run to the sink, shouting for my partner to bring tissues and plaster, and stand there holding it over the kitchen sink, saying "agh" to myself under my breath for 5 minutes because it wouldn't stop bleeding, and they couldn't hear me even though I could hear the smallest noises of them pottering about in the other room... I didn't feel abandoned or alone with my pain

Its fine that it was my razor blade right?... Right?

[–] tkc@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago

Definitely when I get mine. It's a bit mad but someone must buy their Christmas stuff now for them to use up shelf space ?

[–] tkc@feddit.uk 3 points 2 years ago

I wonder what marketing person decided, you know what Christmas needs, Jalapeño poppers next to the sprouts.

I keep seeing Bun & Sum coming up in these lists. They've been pretty much my fav for the last year and I didn't even realise they were this popular.

[–] tkc@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah, I've definitely not adjusted yet. So hard to wake up in the mornings haha!

[–] tkc@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago

Definitely some stuff going round. I've had a cold since Saturday and have events tomorrow and Friday evening that I don't want to miss out on.

This is a nightmare near me. For some reason outside my block of flats is designated as a drop off zone, so there's sometimes up to 10 just outside my door and people aren't the most considerate about where they leave them.

The worst thing is the bloody noises they make when they're picked up or dropped off, or the locator sound they use to find them...

What an odd thing to associate with Christmas haha. You'd think they bring them out in summer.

I managed to push a razor blade (just a loose blade, not a razor head) into the side of my right index finger tip this morning while cleaning out my bathroom bin. I think the only thing that stopped it going further was my nail.

Safe to say, having a half functional index finger on my dominant hand is making everything hard work, but I only have my self to blame for putting it in there...

Im still reeling. By far one of my faves.

What's got your eye twitching this week?

Is there any way to work out what numbers I should be aiming for for each exercise?

I've got a deadlift PR for 175kg (~385lbs), I think I could squat 150kg (330lbs), maybe more, as I did it years ago.

I'm worried about bench as I'm untested. I would need about 120kg (264lbs). I've been doing dumbbell bench for 4x12 @ 17.5kg (~38lbs). Today I alao did Incline Dumbbell bench for the same sets, reps and weight.

I'm 14kg (32lbs) off with those numbers, so I'll probably tack it on the squat or redo the DL.

Does anyone have any advice?

Cheers!

Hi,

Are there any active communities for home gym, weightlifting or strongman?

Attempting a cross post with this, I dont know if I did it right.

I've only just started paying attention the what the numbers mean in the last year or so.

I remember it being 40kph last year and watching it out the window waiting for something to happen, but nothing did.

Now I've seen as high as 47mph on Beeb Weather and a weather warning, so this should be like 60 to 70kph winds, almost double last time.

Can I expect my neighbours furniture to go flying or a bin to roll down the road or something this time?

What turned you in a little grump gills, huh?

How's it going everyone?

I'm on day two of a migraine, skipping my day festival in leui of painkillers and chill TV watching/game playing.

Who's having a roast today then?
