Sure! Click the link at the very top of the page! You know, what this entire conversation is theoretically talking about? It takes you to a Home Assistant page and even has some details on their philosophy and links to even more details about their privacy focused philosophy! I thought saying essentially "read the fucking article" would be pretty asshole-ish and wouldn't contribute anything to the conversation, but I also thought that your question contributed nothing, so I downvoted.

Did that answer your question sufficiently?

I know, right?! It's like those people that wear these weird bands to show to the world that they've been 'taken' or whatever, like, I get it, but please - stop shoving your 'lifestyle' down my throat, ok?! Call me old fashioned, but I think they should keep their kinks to themselves and shouldn't be allowed to wear their weird "wedding rings" in public where children can see them!

OP isn't asking how to introduce their kids to the concept of BDSM or asking to explain how they like being tied up, for fucks sake, they're asking if there are child friendly books to help explain that you can love multiple people. Most monogamous folks introduce their partner to their kids after 6-12 months, so why wouldn't poly folks be able to do the same?

OP - Unfortunately, I think books around LGBTQIA+ and then having a conversation might be the best you're going to get from the quick research I just did. At the very least, your options are slim if you do manage to find anything.

For apps, Artemis exists, but only works on artemis.camp until the API is official, but you can grab it and check it out. Pretty sweet already.

Upvote means "I like what you said and want you to know it".
Boost means "I like what you said and want others to see it too!". Think of it like a re-tweet or whatever it's called on Mastodon (re-toot?).

ETA: I believe the dev of Artemis is also planning on open sourcing their KBIN<->lemmy translation layer once everything is confirmed to make it easier for others to add support to their apps too

Lol, Kutchers is with James Franco, a man completely devoid of any scandals with girls and young women! /s

Q:What's the difference between someone who has 1 million dollars and someone who has 1 billion dollars?

A:Roughly a billion dollars.

Really, it's practically the same at 10M.

A billion is just so fucking much more that our brains have a hard time even conceptualizing it.

Mostly as a Reddit replacement, but I've found myself using my Mastadon account less too with the microblog feature.

Nice! I'll have to give them a listen!

Much appreciated!

ETA quite the backlog on both, that'll fill in some gaps with ones I'm caught up with!

My top 3 are:
Foss Podd - Has interviews with open source devs from some pretty large projects
Self Hosted - If you're interested in self hosting, you've probably come across some of their resources, why not listen to them?
Unnamed Reverse Engineering Podcast - Interviews with hardware hackers and talking about the tools they use. Very interesting.

Wordpad is a rich text editor not a plain text editor.

I can't say I've used Wordpad intentionally - ever -, but they do serve different functions.

The people that'll tell you not to pay off a house before the end of your mortgage are the same ones that're first in line to buy up houses in recessions as quick as they can.

Are there other things that might be better investments? Sure, but having your home paid off is a solid investment in your future too.

That's low priority, but someone has complained so it got "bumped up"
