To add with another cast iron tip. If you have cleaned with water (its simple and quick) dry it off roughly and put it back on the hot stove. This drives off the last moisture.

Last camp of the year is always special. I may have had my last last weekend but if the weather hold I can probably squeeze in another. Where I am (southern Sweden) night temperatures are still well above 5C so for me very much camping weather.

Have yet to play it but Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous does have some similar themes. If you haven't looked at it already give it a glance.

My guess would be that it is much easier to report on some metric and compare that to other metrics compared to content critique.

Or that industry cares more about metrics about profitability than anything else.

Was out riding and got to one of these wooden walkways over a wet area and then my bike went away from underneath me.

Rigid dual crown fork (sopuli.xyz)
 

Been dreaming about building a (light) custom adventure bike. Rugged, capable and can get me most places. But also de-teched for reliability and field repairability. Steel or high quality aluminium, 2x drivetrain possibly friction, up to 2.5" (or 3") of rubber. 27.5/29 not settled on but why not both. Front and rear racks. And fully rigid. So we come to aesthetics. I really love the look of dual crown forks. Their "make way, coming through" looks. Oh yeahhh baby!

But so far my searches haven't brought any proper fruit. A lot of DM forks, some shiny ones and tons of Chinese results. Nothing that says "choose me". Could be that I would need to go deeper into custom. Real custom.

To continue my quest I seek guidance. If you know any source for rigid dual crown forks let me know. Storefront or custom maker doesn't matter. EU results preferred.

Let me keep dreaming. Also at this point it is dreams, and in the dream there is no budget.

Hi folks!

So I got myself a hardtail that I enjoy for the most part. Except the wheels. I fucking hate them as they snap spokes left and right, and always in the nipple so I have to get everything off to fix it. Aluminium rims if anyone wondering. Fixing it hasn't been the issue until today. First issue being spokes have gotten stuck in the nipple so turning the nipple to adjust tension just rotates the whole spoke. Second issue a white coarse layer of probably oxidized nipple ruining the heads of them. I cannot even use a screwdriver to hold the nipple without flattening the head.

So what to do? I'm going to see if I can locate some anti-seize to see if that helps. Probably will end up rebuilding the wheels which I dread. I mean if the nipples are this bad after barely a year wonder how they will look after three.

Or is this amount and type of damage not to be expected and I have a shot at a warranty claim?

I've given up for tonight, nothing more will be done as I'm fatigued and exhausted. Any advice, to the left or right, up or down, forwards or backwards is appreciated.
