Can't wait 1) for Cyberpunk to get this builtin, 2) for benchmarks and other comparison from Digital Foundry and 3) how it compares to DLSS 2. Maybe I can play Cyberpunk with Ray Tracing on my RX 7600 after all?

Oh right! It totally forgot people pre-order games... That option wasn't even in my head, until you brought it up. :D Yeah, that makes sense then. Never mind.

Was the game on Early Access? SteamDB reports the game was on sale in 1st of September. https://steamdb.info/app/1497440/ Edit: Never mind. Game was probably on pre-order. I didn't think this possibility...

Yeah, the games itself weren't good. I wasn't a big fan of them back in the day. But I feel somewhat nostalgic about them nowadays when playing on an emulator.

I learn about most of Google projects, when they die.

Reminds me those Sega CD/Mega CD games with full motion videos, like Corpse Killer (rail shooter) or Road Avenger (quick time events). Now I kinda want to have this.

Yes, I'm aware of it too. When I launched the game for first time, there was no audio. Needed to select the audio device in the game. And later when I had no audio again, I had to select the wrong device and back to correct device. But now it seems to be working, even without commandline options. There is definitely something weird going on. That happens if you launch a game on a platform before testing it. Especially disappointing if there was a dedicated Beta phase for testing months prior launch... Sorry, I can't get over it at the moment.

The Linux version has graphical issues with the smoke and particles. And it is more taxing on the hardware than it should be, I think. They really should have a Linux build while Beta phase. What's the point of a Beta if they don't test it? I'm currently disappointed.
