Genuinely, I think your examples are negatives

I love the act of creation. I love molding the world around me. I would rather fix my shoes and repair my shirts than have shitty, unrepairable clothes made from plastic that just dissolve after a couple years

I think the connection between you and your personal things is good when it's a long relationship of maintenance and restoration. I think it's horrible when it's short and replaceable

That's fucking disgusting... But it does square the circle. I'm convinced, you're probably dead on with that

No, we get more convenience

In exchange for indoor plumbing, we don't have the time to do our chores. In exchange for concrete foundations and plastic floors, the entire world is poisoned and we no longer have community bonds. In exchange for electricity, we lost nature

We work far more than we ever have, and for what? To destroy our bodies and live in anxiety of losing what we have?

What truly matters in life?

I'm not saying it's all bad, but there's a balance. We live in the most exciting times in history - it's so absurdly convenient, but it's also deeply horrible

They'd honestly probably hate it. Ultra processed foods are disgusting if you're not used to them, there's a gross kinda chemically undertone to the flavor that sticks to your tongue. Normally it's covered up by making your taste buds overload, but new tastes stand out. It helps develop aversions if we get food poisoning from trying new foods

They'd also be going from never tasting spices before to total overload. A lot of them would react like people do to tear gas

Now, if they powered through and kept eating they'd probably get addicted, but it would be an acquired taste

And I still don't understand their plan here

They now have jumbo sized wolves. They can never release the wolves or euphanize them, they'd face infinite public backlash

Giant wolves are not an asset, they're an expense

So... The only thing that makes sense is they want to get in on the zoo game. But, I can't see zoos buying up GMO look alikes, so are they trying to make bargain bin Jurassic Park? Did they not watch it?

We have to protect the victims. No, not those victims, we meant like...Gislane Maxwell and Donald Trump

Fine - then just don't make excuses for Jews being tied to Israel. We're not, we're Americans and citizens of where we've lived for generations

That's an ignorant and prejudiced take, not to mention dangerous

Recently I met someone in my dream, where I was on vacation with some friends. The rest of the characters in the dream kinda faded into the background as we started talking, and I made a comment about how absurd the dream situation must seem to them, which shocked them and they asked me to repeat myself

Then I said, "I'm only here for a couple days, but-", they interrupted me to say "Yes! But I have to go home soon" as the dream collapses

I woke up with the distinct impression they weren't a dream character. I couldn't look at them, I didn't know anything about them, and they didn't respond normally. All I have is a vague memory of their voice

I think I surprised some kind of dream walker and asked them out

OMG... Are you saying nature has better solutions than chemical companies?

Blasphemy.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 13 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Yeah... That's just a small collection of anacdotal evidence, and my anacdotal evidence totally contradicts it

Look at the subreddit name. Why would you be in that subreddit? Probably because you're invested in the religion side of our culture, which is totally optional. Or you're into our history. These are things that make you more likely to visit Israel, a place full of historical, religious, and cultural artifacts

You seem more genuinely ignorant than anything darker, so let me take this opportunity to lay it out

Israel has a promise to all of us - we will protect our own next time someone does a genocide. Because the Holocaust wasn't the first time we experienced ethnic cleansing... Were the ones who look like the people where we live, but are different. I like to say, "we're always second", because when they run out of gypsies or black people, the fascists will need a next enemy

Israel offers free trips to young adults. You fly over, see the sights, and get indoctrination against Palestinians. I tried to do this years back before I knew the details... But there's another natural requirement. You have to be an active part of a group that focuses on Jewish heritage - I showed up a few times, applied, but I'm an American first and foremost. You need to be an active member of a Jewish identity group to even get in... And this is my heritage, not all I am. So I was filtered, like most of us are

The Palestine issue was uncomfortable for a long time...I mean, it's was definitely uncomfortable, but it was a guaranteed safe harbor. I think this is how most of us felt... Conflicted

But then October 7th happened, and the response made it clear what this was. We had to confront what this was, and most of us are very upset about it, because our history is being on the other side of it

And now, they're coming for the Latinos. I know how this story ends, and I don't want to be deported to Israel. I know it sounds crazy now, but it's not. We're 2 years away from "putting the Jews back where they belong"

We are not Israeli. Those people are fucking crazy, don't put me in the same breath as them. Don't apologize for the IDF. Don't launder what is happening.

Make the difference clear in your mind and in your words.

If you haven't noticed, there's a lot of platforms both quietly and openly tweaking the algorithm to boost Nazi content

This isn't just normal algorithm stuff, this is something darker. It goes hand in hand with censorship, the Internet is being shaped into a tool of control right in front of our eyes
