I just had a V for Vendetta “flashback everything comes together” moment…

My apologies. I tend to exaggerate when trying to be funny.

I intend to return after the blackout. At least for the rest of June. It is said multiple times, that this is just the first step for many subreddits.

I will continue using Lemmy and use Reddit only for specific communities. If there is no chance in sight on Reddits behalf, the communities can work on travelling to alternatives properly and this needs time and planing.

As of now, this exodus is more like a panicked escape. At least one community I am from means business and I would like to support them as much as possible.

Kinda. But I don’t care about Reddit itself. I care about a few communities and the people from there. I know a couple of them are here. But we are scattered and trying to figure out this site.

Time will tell if this sticks or not. I pretty much hope so.

If someone finds a Lemmy equivalent to r/Grimdank or r/40klore please let me know.

I put a lot of hours into Post Void and Synthetic this weekend. Both are great.

Well, about 6.5 years ago I found r/Grimdank and r/40klore…and r/Rabbits. I immediately fell in love with those communities.

I first started on the browser and the official App. But the App sucked (shocker I know) and I switched to RIF. Wonderful App.

Half a year ago I switched to Apple for the first time and found Apollo. Fantastic App.

I can’t give less of a shit about Reddit itself. But I hope the communities I grew to love will do fine or maybe even come here too.
