I should hit my fire number their senior year of highschool. If they receive scholarships, I will probably do "one more year" just in case. If they need help, I may move back my retirement date more. But it all depends on how hard they tried in highschool. If they are a C student, I would encourage them to join a community college or a technical school that matches their passions.

This happened to us. It sold a month later and the buyer wanted a few things fixed. Luckily a friend was willing to take care of those for us since we were 10hrs away. Praying that you get lucky and won't have to return.

It's such a gamble right now. I look forward to the framework improving and the healthy instances rising to the top. Good choice on lemmy.world. it's a safe bet imo.

Not a question but I did want to share something I experienced this weekend. We're in south Louisiana this weekend and the heat index was 114. This did not feel the same as Austin with a heat index of 114. For those with family/friends in the south that act like they're experiencing the same weather, tell them a lemmy user said it's not true. I wish this is what Austin felt like.

Not to give them any ideas but it seems like the only way around this is to create a division that handles the reviewing for the state. At some point, they realize they can't keep up with the requests and so they turn to AI to review books. Then authors get creative to bypass the ai model and the state creates another silly law.

They'll release the schedule around mid-August. You can buy the shirt while you're there. Also, around the time that they release the schedule, they'll also announce late night shows around Austin. Attend one with your favorite artist. It's much more intimate than ACL since you'll be in a small venue. These days, I skip ACL and only attend late night shows.

Virtualbox all the way. That way, she can still run her day to day apps in macOS while only using virtualbox for the class. And here's the best part - once she reaches the point where she knows the setup she likes, she can create a new VM and set it up cleanly and delete the old one. I would only use the boot camp option if she will need to connect to hardware. VirtualBox can be finicky when it comes to USB devices.

How many times did you think "I should hire someone" but then you remembered how expensive it would be?

While my kids live at home, regular fire due to living in HCOL. Once they are off to college, I'd love to move somewhere cheaper and live a lean fire life. In other words, I should hit my number once they leave home.

I switched to Atomic over 4 years ago and it's the only brand I buy now. I don't like wasting plastic and I know Atomic will print perfectly for me. If there's an issue, it was my printer's fault.
