Paradox of tolerance at play here.

Yes Frau Von der Leyen, and Europe has had a big hand in it, too, especially the destruction of the international rule of law for the sake of the genocidal Israeli apartheid regime. Never before has Europe so blatantly undermined International Law and institutions, never before has Europe been so blatantly a genocide enabler. You murdered international law and now you're going to go around shedding crocodile tears for it. You fool nobody. Europe has relinquished immense amounts of soft power, political goodwill and moral standing in the world.

The few European countries, such as Ireland and Spain that did break the mold are the only saving grace but I'm not sure they are enough to salvage the entire project. We, collectively as Europeans, are now responsible for having enabled a genocide, and shielded its perpetrators.

See, according to Germany's political establishment and mainstream, you, an actual Jew, are antisemitic. The German establishment knows better than you. And there is absolutely nothing creepy or antisemitic in them telling you you're a bad Jew.

Edit: not to mention that this person right here is probably feeling immense satisfaction at having been downvoted to oblivion. Because they are likely perceiving this whole thing as them taking a brave stand against antisemitism. This is them being pure rational Germans against antisemitic irrationality. That's where we're at.

If Greece was doing what Israel is doing and my fellow Greek electors were responsible for electing for 20 years in free and fair elections the government that does it AND they were polling the government coalition responsible for doing it first for the next election AND in opinion polls overwhelmingly supported the genocide and I was one of the few brave souls doing the protesting, not only would I be ok with the conflation, I would be encouraging.

Holding autocracies to account is easy: send the dictator to the Hague.

Holding democracies (even flawed ones like Israel's) to account is harder.

The Israelis are going to regret this for decades to come. The world will not forget.

Χέσε μας ρε που η Ελλάδα είναι η πιο αντισημιτική χώρα του κόσμου.

What is disgusting I that you are conflating legitimate non violent pressure to the citizens of a genocidal state to do their duty as citizens with hatred towards Jews.

There is only one thing more repulsive than the Ls and that's the Cs.

Thanks to Trudeau for shelving voting reform.

Yea but did you notice he's black? What are they supposed to do? Not brutalize him?

Class action lawsuit when?

The Greek government has shamefully refrained even from the empty rhetorics that the UK and Canada have been publishing. We're not arresting IDF war criminals.

I am actually furious at Rosemary Barton for not pushing back at the frankly astonishing rhetoric we are getting from Gordon Sondland. Going on Canadian TV and saying that "everything is up for negotiation" when it comes to what Canada is willing to discuss? And Barton just sits there saying "I have no opinion"?! And then saying telling us we should not take him serious because that's Donnie's personality after our own fucking Prime Minister has basically told us the threat of annexation is actually real?? And then talking about forcing us into a customs union or "common passport"?

Sondland was talking down on us, scolding us for taking his shitty president seriously, and Rosemary Burton was just letting him go unchallenged. What is this bullshit?

A Reuters photographer snapped a picture of Trudeau later carrying a House of Commons chair out of the West Block chamber as he winds down his time in government. Under parliamentary rules, an outgoing MP can purchase a replica of their chair in the chamber.

The reality is that the next federal election will not save us, and regardless of what you think of my writing, you certainly know this deep down. Even a Carney reprieve is unlikely to stave off an even more rabid Conservative party in the next election after this one. But if we aren’t clear-eyed about what is happening, then we sure as hell cannot see where we’re going. And to have a banker, a CEO’s man in the office of Prime Minister, it is going to bring with it a world of challenges that near certainly will pave the road for someone worse than Poilievre.

What if the separation of competitions, “said to be a natural consequence of the differences between men and women,” is actually is “just a tool to create those differences”?

Updated photo to remove the name of the company so I am not even inadvertently advertising them.

A 2000 percent increase in fentanyl sounds super scary until you realize that what we're really talking about is going from 1 kilo to 21 kilos.

We are fast approaching a point where is no way to preserve the kinds of democratic, liberal, tolerant, multicultural, humanistic and socially just standards that define our standards of what's good in Western civilization than to form a closer European Union.

The European far right, from Meloni to the AfD and the RN in France is poised to establish a MEGA hellscape in the next election cycle. Only a liberal social democratic revolution, basically, can stop this.

An EU with common eurobonds, with a common nuclear capable Union Army, with the French UNSC permanent position becoming a European one, with common European taxation of wealth to reduce inequality and a common European welfare state. We should also establish universal jurisdiction for human rights abuses and put some teeth behind it.

We have already taken what is good from the American federalist tradition, and we have built new ones. We should forge a closer union while avoiding American mistakes like the imperial presidency, gerrymandering, and the influence of money in politics.

The MEGA fascists are like American Tories during the American Revolution: they serve the interests of foreign despots and pirates (to reference Jefferson): MAGA USA and Putinist Russia, peddling nothing but resentment politics that will solve none of our problems.

Alex Tyrrell, party leader of the Green Party of Quebec, who accompanied Engler to the police station on Thursday, spoke to the Middle East Eye about Engler’s arrest.

“I think it’s a shocking attack on free expression and democratic rights and criticism of Israel in Canada - a country that’s supposed to be a free, democratic society. We’re supposed to speak out about a genocide," Tyrrel told MEE.

At the end of the day, Canada is many things. But above all else, we’re a bunch of grudge holding motherfuckers. You’ve taken your shot at us, so now we won’t rest until we get you back.
