dunno, the system might ran out of RAM due to lack of swap, but the drive should be fine due to the limited writes
If the system you have has enough RAM you could load the entire OS to RAM and then change the writeback settings to a high interval
say what you want, Bluetooth headphones are popular and practical, and their only caveat is battery life
One of the things that I've seen is that politicians can be bribed for shockingly little money. I think with a 1million dollars you could bribe one high member of congress, or 10-20 low-level politicians.
When I was a young child, we didn't really have much choice of TV channels so all you could watch was what was offered. No smartphones either, so you had to make do. There was this period where they were showing nothing but fluff about the Royal family, and that pissed me off as a bored kid.
So I did something that I'd never done before: I got down on my knees, clasped my hands together and prayed for a certain member of that family to die. One week later they did. The guilt stayed with me for a while, but eventually I got over it convinced that it was mere chance.
Then a few years later, at college, desperate to pass an exam I had no chance of passing, I did the same thing, and passed it with flying colours.
I don't really know what to do with this power, but I know that I should use it sparingly.
(that was a reluctant "no" gif I posted above)
Mmm I'm beginning to see. Even in their own lore, Operation Dark Storm was a failure that crippled humanity and only temporarily halted the machines.

Christ I know so many people who love this book, but I can never make it past the first few pages. Something about the giddy tone that the author uses to tell you exactly how you should feel at any given time just feels hard to stomach. Just present the facts and their connections in a concise manner, and let me feel my own sense of awe. Don't rob me of my own excitement by trying to imprint yours onto mine.
The rest of the books, solid recommendations.
Is this a reference to Salman Rushdie's Fraught Kings, with the jester and the body suit?
You have to be in a position to be heard. You could literally be the most popular account on lemmy, but you'd still be yelling down or laterally at people who already support you.
To punch up, you have to be on their stage.
