Linux Is Not Ur Xylophone
Colleague:
"I need to use Linux and my boyfriend suggested I use Ubuntu, is that right?"
Me (screaming internally, deciding on whether to rant on bloatware, on Canonical, on reproducibility, on monetization, on many things wrong with the world, but not wanting to come off as an elitist, nor scare her off the idea altogether):
"... that, that should be fine."
MAJOR SPOILERS
At the end he fights Satan for an endless eternity, using a diminishing supply of other willing demons as spare body parts as he wears all his limbs out.
The shocks of their battle cause irreparable damage to Earth, and the last of humanity to perish with it.
At the end, he lies limbless, dead or comatose next to Satan on the moon, who asks him almost child-like for closure.
White glowing meteorites presumably sent from God crash into the Earth, wiping all demonic (and presumably all) life from it, similar to the book of revelations
Well if we truly are planet destroying devils, I'm fairy certain God will send his holy light missiles to cleanse the planet as he did with Mars.
I believe there's a documentary on this very idea called Devilman Crybaby
That would indeed be it.
Thanks! Feel free to add your own songs too
Check my comment above. More scientists believe it was due to a random mutation (the similarity of the sequence to other bat coronaviruses was extremely similar, and this one was a small change that just happened to be potent), though there are also many scientists who find the wuhan lab more than circumstantial.
The racist connotations about the lab I knew about, but I didn't think it made it less true.
That being said, I just checked wikipedia:
Most scientists agree that, as with many other pandemics in human history,[1][2][3] the virus is likely derived from a bat-borne virus transmitted to humans via another animal in nature or during wildlife trade such as that in food markets.[11] Many other explanations, including several conspiracy theories, have been proposed.[12][13][14] Some scientists and politicians have speculated that SARS-CoV-2 was accidentally released from a laboratory. This theory is not supported by evidence.[15]
SARS-CoV-2 has close genetic similarity to multiple previously identified bat coronaviruses, suggesting it crossed over into humans from bats

and I think I remember seeing a study that showed the similarity of the sequence to other known sequences and it wasn't that dramatic a change.
Lift me up, Stephen Chow!
