The physics in 4 were the best in the series IMO. The car handling was perfect, and not MidnightClub-style arcadey (point and vroom).
Plowing through pedestrians at the park had real replay value in GTA IV, with very interesting reactions each time. In GTA V this became somewhat canned in terms of animation diversity.
GTA IV felt grimey and real to me. I loved it. Just wish they had planes and parachutes (albeit Ballad of Gay Tony brought the latter in)
I think it was just the general Florida-man vibes that gave it away for me
For some, that game never truly died.
bear in mind that R* now distributes GTA V with Razor1911 cracked binaries because of how much better they are performance wise than R*'s own
I think just don't allow other companies to buy others. Mergers should be illegal.
I'm a huge Mastodon fan, but for the life of me I could never get into Leviathan. I don't know why. I'm fairly sure another 10 years from now it will suddenly "click" in my head and I will be obsessed with this album like everyone else

Its pretty easy to update the packages yourself, just bump the version and the hash, or if needed add some missing libraries.
Because the review process is slow, sometimes it's easier to just check the Guix Patches buglist for existing submitted patchfiles and then add them to your tree
I quite like the mailing list submission process. it's the review time from lack of reviewers that bums me out
