Just so you know, in emacs you can do mass rename of multiple files using dired-mode. Never use a for loop again.

It is a libertarian's dream country though. No where else is it so easy to get others to invest in your idea.

He's not dumb. He is a troll who likes to control people, since he's used to a level of comfort and prestige that has allowed him to do that his entire life.

I'll give you that, emojis are good at quickly communicating intent in situations where time is short. But this is a message board, where's the hurry buddy

I'm dating one, and she disagrees ("Miiiiiii...")

I can't wait to read printed text that has them to better enunciate certain plot points. Harry Potter could have used an 😱 or two to let me know in advance how to react to certain moments.

Guy Fawkes is a real big deal. Fireworks will be going all week.

Try a major UK city. It's dark early, often foggy, people are fighting each other with rockets on the streets. People are holding hands and burning effigies of the latest prime minister.

God do I miss England in November.

I think people 😘 find them more obnoxious 😱 than informative, and rate 💯 opinions higher than 😜 emotional reactions, because emotions are 🤑 cheap and add nothing to a constructive 🏗️ discussion

Sure there is that. There is also the idea that adding emotions to a discussion adds nothing useful, and is a sign of immaturity when shown.

Sometimes things just fall apart. Do you mourn her, or do you mourn her love more?

If it's her, then I hope you guys can work something it out.

If you mourn her love, then I think you're feeling the loss of a shared future you had planned together. This hurts hard, I know, but will get better with time once you realise that you mourn the idea of her. You can and will find that with someone else, and then she will just be your ex that you have fond memories with, who you see once a week to pick up the kids, whilst you build a new future with your new partner.
